Regent Chongqing

Regent Chongqing not only boasts a superb location, but it truly sets the bar for hotel service. They've thought of absolutely everything. From pillow preferences, in-room telescopes, and flower petal bubble baths to thoughtful arrival route planning and various considerate little gifts, what really impressed me was the complimentary minibar, including alcoholic beverages and snacks – incredibly generous! All three of the hotel's restaurants and its bar are must-visits in Chongqing. The bar, in particular, has a fantastic vibe. As a hotel guest, we not only had the minimum spend waived for our sofa table but also received two complimentary cocktails. The bar staff were incredibly observant and always attentive to our needs. ☝🏼The only minor drawback is that the hotel uses a fully enclosed fresh air system for the beds. While the temperature control was excellent, it did get a little humid during consecutive rainy days. When we left, we took all the gifts and the minibar drinks with us, haha! So happy to have eaten, drunk, and received so much. I love Regent and will definitely be back!

Chongqing's most luxurious hotel, hands down. The staff's service was incredibly warm and attentive without feeling overbearing – it felt genuinely natural, which was fantastic. And the rooms? Unbeatable. A perfect blend of aesthetics and comfort.

We were extremely satisfied with our family staycation at Regent Chongqing. Located in the Liangjiang New Area, our high-floor river view room offered a direct, spectacular view of the Hongya Cave night scenery. The hotel's family-friendly services were comprehensive, with kids' toothbrushes, slippers, and bathrobes prepared in advance. They even arranged a bubble bath with roses in the tub, which our child absolutely loved. The room itself was spacious and quiet, and the complimentary mini-bar was well-stocked with snacks and drinks. We also enjoyed the free laundry service for three items daily. The hotel features a heated swimming pool, and children's meals are available at meal times. Access to the riverside promenade and the Grand Theatre was convenient. Overall, the environment was upscale and comfortable, making it perfect for a family vacation with kids.

This has to be one of the most impressive 5-star hotels I've ever stayed at in China. The room's decor was incredibly tasteful, possessing a timeless, high-end aesthetic that won't go out of style. The room was spacious and well-laid out, with no cheap furnishings to be found. Everything was arranged in a way that was simply delightful to look at. The stationery, paper, and envelopes were a particularly surprising touch, showing great attention to detail. Unlike other hotels with expensive minibars, everything here was complimentary. Both the breakfast and service were excellent, and the check-in/check-out process was smooth and satisfying. They even gave out small gifts upon check-in and check-out, which really added to the emotional value of the stay. Even the small lion statues outside the lobby entrance were wearing little hats, which was a charming and warm detail. Later, I stayed two nights at the InterContinental Raffles, and the cold smiles and cheap, worn-out decor really highlighted the difference.

Finally found a suitable hotel in Chongqing! Since we arrived early, the front desk lady thoughtfully upgraded our room for an early check-in. The environment and comfort were exactly what I was looking for. The hotel also offered a service that I've often seen in pictures at many 5-star hotels but never actually experienced, though I didn't need it this time. Next time, I can bring the kids to stay at the Regent. From now on, the Regent will be my top choice when traveling.

I'd heard online that Chongqing has the best service, and my personal experience truly confirmed it. All the staff were incredibly friendly and had excellent service attitudes. They responded promptly to all our requests and did their best to accommodate our needs. The room was spacious and beautiful, and they even told us the minibar drinks were complimentary, which made us feel completely at ease using them. We also received two vouchers for drinks at the Two Rivers Bar, allowing us to experience the famous bar. We were very happy!

I arrived at the hotel around 10 PM on Friday, July 31st. After working non-stop for half a month, I finally had two days off and decided to visit Chongqing. I specifically chose the only Regent hotel in the southwest region, hoping to recapture that sense of peace and comfort I remembered. Traveling from Guiyang, I was quite disheveled and exhausted. However, upon entering the hotel, my weariness and fatigue gradually began to subside. There was no opulent decor or dazzling crystal chandeliers, but rather an entryway that seemed to filter out some of my frustrations and tiredness. What followed was a quiet atmosphere with warm, dim lighting that allowed me to slowly calm down and relax. This shows that good design isn't about extravagance, but about matching the scene – and for a place of rest, this design was perfectly executed. On my way to Chongqing, I communicated my check-in preferences to the staff, who meticulously confirmed the details and helped prepare two **bear-themed greeting cards**. They were adorable, and I loved them! The messages inside were also very heartwarming. It truly feels wonderful when your requests are taken seriously! The most enjoyable experience that day was definitely the bubble bath. Soaking in the warm bathtub with a glass of wine allowed my tense body and mind to slowly unwind, soothe, and relax during that time. Without any specific purpose or demands, just drinking wine and taking a bath. In those moments, time and the night itself became incredibly gentle. I was very well looked after by the hotel staff. Thank you all for your hard work!

It's rare to describe a hotel as 'flawless', but the Regent truly lives up to it. From check-in to check-out, I couldn't find a single flaw – even if I were nitpicking, I'd still give it a 99 out of 100. Definitely book a river-view room if you can (or an executive room if your budget allows); the night view is absolutely unbeatable. Failing that, you can always enjoy a drink at the Two Rivers Bar on the seventh floor and soak in the fun of admiring Hongyadong from afar. I initially wanted to mention a few staff members by name, but after thinking about it, everyone was so excellent that I'll just commend the entire team instead.

Before check-in, the butler proactively reached out to ask if I had any special requests. Upon arrival, the room had been nicely arranged. In the afternoon, there was significant construction noise while I was resting, but after contacting the butler, it felt like they communicated with the manager, and the construction stopped. I really appreciate the hotel's understanding. I'm quite satisfied with this stay; the staff's professionalism and attentiveness deserve commendation. They were very responsive to customer needs. The hotel's online butler mini-program is excellent and perfect for guests who prefer less direct communication. However, the hotel is a bit older, so inevitable issues like scratched floors and aged bathroom handles are minor drawbacks. But these don't overshadow its overall quality; it truly deserves its spot as Chongqing's top hotel. The bar's outdoor terrace offers fantastic views of Qiansimen Bridge and Hongyadong, perfect for enjoying a drink and the nightscape. Overall, I was quite pleased with this trip and hope the hotel continues to improve. A special shout-out to the service staff!
