A great stay at this hostel! The hostel is spotlessly cleanwith a charming, modern decorthat feels cozy and welcoming. Every corner is thoughtfully designed, making it a joy to relax in common areas.
The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful—always ready to assist with a smile. Thanks to the hostel staff team for their warmth and quick responses, even late hours.
Arriving at the hotel, the employee behind the counter was very friendly. The hotel itself has a good location for when you are traveling. It’s pretty basic but has anything you need when roadtripping. It has a supermarket next to it and also a little fridge to keep drinks cold. It also has a tv with Google Chromecast so you can stream from your phone.
The airco in the room did his work - which was needed, outside temperature was about 38/39 degrees - and the room looked clean. It was a spacious room but I think the room was also for disabled given the shower with aids. It was room number 1.
We went to the Monegros Festival on Saturday and the hotel is located about 30 minutes from it so a perfect base to go from here. I would recommend.
The hotel really could use an outside pool give the temperatures in Lleida in the summer but it is what it is …
Everything was excellent! Better than a 5-star hotel. The buffet breakfast is highly recommended. Very good transportation and excellent service. Thank you so much!
In general, everything is correct. Huge room and extremely comfortable beds. However, we stayed in a Callaghan's Superior room, but without the details like the Colorado Creek Superior rooms (no bottled water, for example). It is noticeable that the quality of the hotel's food at dinner and breakfast has dropped a lot compared to other times we have stayed at the Gold River.
Both bus 46 and A1 from the airport stop directly in front of the hotel. I'd recommend bus 46 more, as it's cheaper and makes more stops. We took the A1, which didn't make any stops and went straight past our destination.
The hotel is conveniently located for exploring various attractions, as it's close to the subway.
The hotel breakfast was the same every day, consisting of cold cuts, bread, and a good variety of fruits. However, eating the same thing for three days straight was a bit much. There's an a la carte option, which isn't free and costs €23. It offers four different egg dishes.
The service was very good. On our first day, the hotel was fully booked, so we couldn't get the twin room we wanted. They asked us to come back the next morning to switch rooms and tried their best to accommodate us. The double room had a shower, while the twin room had a bathtub. The bathtub's drainage was slower than its water flow, making it inconvenient to use.
Location: The hotel is located near the train station, but getting there requires climbing a steep hill. It’s puzzling why the hotel doesn’t offer a shuttle bus to the station. On the bright side, the hotel faces the sea, offering stunning views. There’s also a sightseeing mini-train right downstairs, which costs €8 per person. It takes you around some of Tarragona’s main attractions, but it doesn’t stop along the way, nor is there any guided commentary.
Service: The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming. They not only recommended excellent sightseeing routes but also some very delicious restaurants. Since we arrived early for check-in and our room wasn’t ready, they kindly offered us the option to use the gym facilities to change clothes if needed.
Cleanness: Good.
Facility: The mattress was terrible. Why do mattresses in Spanish local-brand hotels seem to always sag so much? Do they actually prefer that sinking feeling?
Overall: Great value for money.
I highly recommended this hotel at Lleida with suggestions to have breakfast there to fully experience its offerings. The room was modern, new, and clean too. The hotel and restaurant staff were friendly.
It’s only a few minutes’ walk from the shopping streets.
Hotel parking with a fee is available for us.
The room was clean and comfortable. We stayed here with friends and were quite happy overall. My only minor point is that the price felt a bit steeper compared to my previous visits to Spain. However, that's understandable given the high inflation across Europe.
Price/quality is good. The terrace opens like a garage door, a very interesting solution, though right in front of it (1st floor) is the employees' staircase, so it is not comfortable to keep the window open. The room is not new, but it was not critical for me. We did not use the pool, because the flight was early in the morning. I did not like the unclear topic with the deposit, the information on the website says that it is only taken from guests under 25 years old, I am older, but they asked me for it too. Moreover, they took the card and began to rewrite all the data for themselves, including the CVC, it is not safe. Therefore, the room was not checked after check-out! Logic?
Overall, I would like to come back again, the beach is very close
This is a great hotel! It's very clean, the rooms are spacious, and the transportation is convenient. I was a bit worried when I saw the pictures online because the area outside the hotel looked messy and run-down. However, it's actually a very quiet and normal neighborhood. It's about a 5-minute walk to the subway station, and the value for money is excellent. I highly recommend it!

Great
I recently stayed at Masd Mediterraneo Hotel Apartamentos Spa in Castelldefels, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The location is ideal—right across from the beach, with beautiful sea views and a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for a relaxing getaway. The area feels safe and quiet but still offers good access to restaurants and shops within walking distance. The hotel itself is modern and well-maintained. I stayed in one of the apartments, which was spacious, clean, and equipped with a kitchenette—great for longer stays. The bed was very comfortable, and the balcony overlooking the sea was a highlight. The Wi-Fi worked reliably, and the air conditioning was effective and quiet.
The location is central and close to the train station. The room is comfortable, perfect for a night stay in Barcelona before heading to the next stop.
This was the finest of experiences I have ever had at a hotel. Even before our trip had begun, the holiday vibe had already started, 2 weeks prior to our flight. A member of hotel reception staff at the B&B in Sant Cugat, a beautiful soul, a lady by the name of Maria Faatemah had won us over with her swift responses to our queries and concerns. The more we responded, the more our mind and hearts were at ease. Always polite and courteous with so much manners and always ready to help us with whatever we presented her with. 2 weeks fast forward - We were welcomed with her sincere wholesome smile and she already knew who we were as soon as she saw is approaching the reception desk. This is someone who is connected with herself and showed is compassion from the get-go. She served us as though she was the leader and she didn't let us feel uncomfortable even though we didn't speak much Spanish. She showed us to our room and told us to feel free to ask her should we need anything. We had a slight situation with our air-condition unit and within 10 minutes she had that resolved by giving us an extra room until the maintenance man fixes the A/C. The second room was beautiful and I slept their for 2 days and it was a great experience. Faatemah called taxi's for us, ordered food for us, she translated Spanish to English and she even guided us towards the best tourist spots. It really felt like she had gone above and beyond, at no extra cost. Even the kids were saying they wanted to buy her something as a thank you present for her amazing service and beautiful mannerism. Faatemah was incredibly professional, compassionate and offered such a lovely service that we all fell in love with Spain (Barcelona) and would love to go back, just for experiencing this service again. Faatemah is much more than a lady behind the reception desk and I hope you all the best in the future and I hope you progress to become something bigger and better and that others are also receptive enough to appreciate you. Thank you Maria Faatemah for being such a wonderful host and your hospitality is so very appreciated. We all Look forward to visiting you real soon. Have a beautiful life and I wish you nothing but the best in this life and the next. Kind regards, Amer Khan and family PeaceX
Pleasant Surprise in the Heart of Barcelona Rating:4/5 Stars Date of Stay:August 2024 --- Summary: We had a short break in Barcelona this week and were looking for a clean, well-located room, and that’s exactly what we got. The Park Hotel was a pleasant surprise and definitely shouldn’t be judged by its facade—we were truly impressed. Room: Our room on the sixth floor was spacious for a city hotel and had all the amenities you’d expect. The bed was particularly comfortable, and the pillows were firm and supportive—none of those mushy, overly soft ones you often find in hotels. The bathroom was well-equipped, though it might be a bit tight for larger guests. Cleanliness: The room was cleaned regularly, and any requests we had were promptly addressed. The pool area was also well-maintained, and the shower room available on our departure day was spotless, making our stay even more comfortable. Service: The service was reasonable overall. The staff managed multiple tasks at once, and although they sometimes appeared a bit stressed, they were always prompt, polite, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Location: The location is perfect for exploring Barcelona. It’s within easy walking distance of Barceloneta, Port Vell, and the El Born district. Plus, the hotel is directly opposite the train station, which made our day trip to Sitges incredibly convenient. Facilities: The hotel’s rooftop pool is a nice feature, with about 14 chairs available for sunbathing. The area gets busy in the mid-afternoon, especially when the summer sun is at its peak. The pool itself is a perfect size for a quick cool-down after exploring the city. Food and Drink: We had breakfast included with our booking, which offered all the basics you’d expect from a hotel breakfast. It was a good way to start the day and provided enough variety to fuel up before heading out. Value for Money: The Park Hotel offered excellent value for money, given its location, comfort, and amenities. Tips/Recommendations: This hotel is ideal if you enjoy a trendy food and cocktail scene combined with the bustling beach atmosphere. It’s a great base for exploring the best of what Barcelona has to offer. We would definitely return to the Park Hotel on our next visit to Barcelona.
Very good location, lots of restaurants near by and within comfortable walking distance to attractions including Gaudi’s well known church, the Basílica de la Sagrada Família. Room is good size, with separated shower and toilet. Room attendant is very nice. We stayed 4 nights and may reserve it again if we’re going to Barcelona in the future. The only downside is the elevator is a bit smaller.
This was my very first time planning a solo trip abroad, and I was admittedly quite anxious after paying the full price and then reading some mixed reviews. Since the policy didn’t allow cancellations, I checked in with a bit of worry—but I’m really glad I did. The room turned out to be pleasantly clean and well-organized. I particularly liked the layout: there are two doors between the bedroom and the bathroom, which gave me a strong sense of privacy and security while resting. Another highlight was the lovely scent in the room—it instantly made me feel at ease and almost like being at home. (If possible, I’d love to ask what kind of aroma sachet or air freshener is used—I’d like to buy the same one!) During mid-November, the evenings in Barcelona were slightly chilly, but the heating/air-conditioning unit in the room worked well and kept things comfortable. That said, when the unit is turned on, there’s a noticeable mechanical noise—it’s not too loud and didn’t disturb my rest, but worth mentioning. I also appreciated how responsive the staff were. On my first night, I thought the external shutter in the room was broken. I reported it to the front desk, and the manager quickly sent someone to assist. It turned out the shutter was manually operated by a cord hidden behind the inner curtain on the far right—easy to miss at first glance. Although the hotel isn’t in the city center, transportation was convenient—there’s a nearby bus stop within walking distance, with easy access to both the metro and Sants train station. A nice bonus: just a 3-minute walk away is a bakery called Joncake & Wine, a branch of the famous Joncake. Their Basque cheesecake is incredible, and being a branch, it’s much less crowded than the main store. There’s also a small convenience store right downstairs—great for picking up water or other essentials. One downside would be the soundproofing. The walls and floors seem quite thin, so I could hear voices and footsteps from the neighboring room. It wasn’t too disruptive for me, but worth noting. Originally, I only planned to stay three nights, but I ended up liking it enough to extend for another three. Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations and became a memorable part of my solo trip to Spain.
A hotel review for Hotel SB BCN Events: Hotel SB BCN Events: A Fantastically Fun and Surprisingly Serene Stay! Forget what you think you know about ”business” hotels, because the Hotel SB BCN Events is a delightful surprise that's packed with fun, positive vibes, and a truly relaxing atmosphere! From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. The check-in was a breeze, and we were whisked away to our room, which was an absolute dream. The decor is modern and sleek, but the big, fluffy beds and the incredible natural light made it feel cozy and welcoming. I'm pretty sure I could have spent my entire trip just lounging on that bed and gazing out the window! But then we discovered the rooftop pool... and the game was officially changed! Holy wow. The views are breathtaking, and it's the perfect spot to unwind, soak up the sun, and enjoy a cocktail. The atmosphere is so relaxed and happy; it's like a little slice of paradise right in the city. And the poolside bar staff? Absolute legends! They were so friendly and made the most delicious drinks. Even the hotel's location, which might seem a little outside the city center, is a huge plus! It's so peaceful and quiet at night, and we loved the feeling of escaping the hustle and bustle after a day of sightseeing. Plus, the public transport connections are super easy, so getting to the main attractions was never a problem. We actually enjoyed the short ride, as it gave us a chance to see more of the city! The food at the hotel was also fantastic. We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant, and the breakfast buffet in the morning was a feast! So many options, all so fresh and delicious. It was the perfect way to fuel up for a day of exploring. Overall, our stay at Hotel SB BCN Events was an absolute joy. It’s a place that manages to be stylish and sophisticated, yet still feel incredibly friendly and fun. We left feeling refreshed, happy, and already planning our next trip back. If you're looking for a hotel that goes above and beyond to make you feel special, this is the place for you. Five stars and two enthusiastic thumbs up! 👍👍
