Kusasenrigahama🐎✨ Visited in mid-October 2026🌿 The day I went was sunny, and it was still a little warm☀️ Kusasenrigahama is one of Aso's most representative scenic spots. It's a place where you can enjoy the magnificent scenery unique to Aso, with its vast grasslands, the plume of smoke rising from Mount Nakadake, and horses grazing peacefully✨ This time, I went to the observation deck visible above the buildings lined with restaurants and cafes. I climbed the stairs next to the restrooms to get there! The view from the observation deck is a truly magnificent 360-degree panorama! 😍 🌋 Mount Nakadake, still emitting volcanic smoke. ⛰️ People climbing nearby Mount Kijimadake. 🌱 Mount Komezuka, a beautiful bowl-shaped mound covered in greenery. 🐎 Spacious pastures and adorable horses. Everywhere you look, magnificent scenery unfolds, and you could gaze at it forever without getting bored. 💚 Mount Kijimadake can be reached in about two hours round trip via a well-maintained hiking trail. I heard you can climb it even in sneakers, and if I had more time, I would have loved to go all the way to the top...😊 I didn't have enough time this time, so I'll definitely go next time! (The trailhead is at the far right of the building complex.) After enjoying the view, take a break inside the building ☕️🍦 Besides a cafe where you can enjoy roasted coffee and soft serve ice cream, there's also a restaurant where you can have a proper meal, and a souvenir shop ✨ And you can also enjoy horseback riding around the grassland 🐎 It's appealing that you can enjoy it in so many ways, not just by looking at the scenery ♡ The vast sky and grassland, and the dynamic landscape created by the volcano.
