Visited Durham for a super historical weekend. Didn&rsquo;t dream we would eat in such an amazing restaurant too. The food would grace any Michelin starred table. Great taste and presentation throughout the 7 course tasting menu. (We added another to the 6 😋) wines and service exceptional too.

There was a good atmosphere.  The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was great service and the food was lovely. Will definitely go back.

Changes noticed this week (different to last week) - the Yorkshire puddings have improved; the size of the meat portion has reduced and the gravy was lumpy. Overall the meal was good despite the former comments. Regrettably, the ambience was spoiled by some very noisy children but the service and staff were courteous and polite.

The young male waiter could not have been more helpful and attentive - all of the staff were friendly and efficient and the meal was great. A wonderful evening for our party of nine - Thank you Toby - We shall be back soon

Had Sunday roast. Good choice of meats, excellent portions.  Very tasty. Nice dessert menu too. Best to book as was quite busy

Very busy today as there was a coupon offer .Thought the food would be hot as it was busy, but it was mostly just warm although tasty.Staff friendly and cheerful considering how busy it was .Still good value. Also picked up a take out carvery

this is a lovely place to dine.... staff are attentive, welcoming and very polite. Food was delicious, special effort made by them for my granddaughter&#39;s birthday. Lovely afternoon, frequent this often.

The food was piping hot &amp; delicious &amp; really well priced on a 2 or 3 course offer. The staff were lovely &amp; helpful. It&rsquo;s was a busy Sunday lunchtime but we didn&rsquo;t feel squeezed in to the next table.

Dinner out of this world was a really good carvery plenty meat staff more than freindly and help full good valve for money be goin again 10/10

Really enjoyed our Sunday lunch the 2 generous slices of beef melted in the mouth, carrots,peas, mash potato, roasters, cauliflower cheese, semi crisped kale (not like crispy sea weed ) and a delicious gravy absolutely gorgeous, oh had a very nice prawn cocktail to start, a great pint and an Irish coffee to finish , staff attentive friendly no fuss and very prompt service definitely recommend , I normally prefer the wife&rsquo;s Sunday roast , but will make a point of stopping here again ????(even this review doesn&rsquo;t do it justice)

Oasis is a lovely cosy pub with a friendly atmosphere. The staff are usually well-mannered and efficient, making it a nice place to relax.

Dining at Shaun Rankin is a truly special experience. The ambiance is magnificent, and the service is attentive, making every visit memorable. The food is consistently evolving and delights with each course.

Have not been in a few months but the changes to the restaurant are really good more open and feels much bigger. The food and service as always was fabulous I will not be waiting as long to visit again.
