TheForkUserThis restaurant near the Colosseum is for real. Feels like a genuine family-owned place -- great food of a local type and flavour. In a district with lots of touristy places of lesser quality so be sure to seek this one out instead. We loved it and recommend it highly!!

TheForkUserI've been visiting Okasan almost since its inception. The main dishes are exceptional and some are even better than a good restaurant in Japan, everything else is still incredibly good for being a Japanese restaurant in the middle of Italy. The chef never misses a beat and the experience as a whole is something you would wish to get back to every day. Best dishes: Salmon tataki, Curry udon soup, Nigiri flambé mix and Wagyu A5 (when available)
TheForkUserThe best carbonara and my boyfriend said the same about his pizza. The employees are so nice and sweet and help you with any questions that you might have. I definatly recommend this place. Such a gem (we ate there twice)
TheForkUserRestaurant is very nicely decorated. All the employees are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make you comfortable. I visited the restaurant with my family (a total of 13) and they had set our table outside but we requested to be sat inside and without hesitation they accommodated us in 2 tables inside. We all ordered different things but loved the mussels, Carbonara and filet with chimichurri sauce. Deserts were great too; our food was delicious.

TheForkUserWonderful food, excellent service and great atmosphere. We had a lovely dinner while being served by Ioana and her colleagues. Be aware, the primi (pasta) dishes were huge. After sharing 1 anti-pasti, having our own primi's and sharing a secondi we were -unfortunately- too full to share a dessert. Ioana was aware of this and offered us a digestive, which really helped. Thank you for your great care!
