TheForkUserLoved discovering this Spanish Restaurant - I hesitate to say "hidden gem" because I've used that in previous reviews but Restauarante Contemple certainly falls into that category. It's a beautiful location with splendid views, a modern style restaurant interior blends with the Spanish countryside and vies of medieval castles on the mountains surrounding. In this setting we had high expectations for Service (which was excellent!) and the food (which was some of the best we've had in the last year). Try the $70 tasting menu and pair with some local wines. Tasty, beautifully presented and set to the table by experienced and very friendly staff. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone and it's well worth a little drive in the country to find it. Upmarket and delightful.

TheForkUserYou're definitely paying for the view, which is special. The food was ok, nothing special, portions are on the small side. The shrimp cocktail was one shrimp on a bed of coleslaw. We did complain about that and they brought us a few more shrimp but it was awhile later. Service was very good.

TheForkUserThey have a menu with good variety, also dishes to share. The libanese dishes are fresh, rich and the main dishes are huge. They have a small number of wines, but the ones we have tried are good. The service is excellent. I highly recommend Mi Mundial for lunch or dinner, for families, for friends or for a romantic date.

TheForkUserAnother memorable night at L‘Atelier. Every dish was prepared with great attention to detail and it was a joy to try and taste. The size per serving was almost like it’s a full size portion and not part of a 4 course menu. Considering how insanely delicious each dish was, I was glad though- that way we could enjoy more of that goodness. A standout and MUST TRY when you visit Alicante. We come here every single time we are in town. Value for price is unbeatable..
