Excellent restaurant ! The quality of the products, the delicate dish presentation and the general atmosphere make it a very nice place to visit.

It was the first time we&rsquo;d eaten Pinsa and we really enjoyed them.  Being able to choose dessert from the pasticceria was a bonus. All the staff were really friendly and efficient.  We found the restaurant too light for our taste although not uncommon in Florence.

All the dishes had unique flavors and service was really good. We were presented with a &#39;gift from the kitchen&#39; as our first course. Overall a good experience!

Excellent Florentine cuisine in a cozy setting. Good wine selection, attentive service.  Bisteca Florentine and pici were stand-outs.  Would love to return for another meal.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here. The fried rice and stir-fried pork were delicious, and the portions are generous for the price!

This restaurant is so well organized and such a georgeous ancient walls and ceiling , worth eating high quality meat and worth Beeing entertained by empathetic staff , the head butler Luca is so well educated and professional , service is fast and friendly , I will definitely come back very soon

What a gem of a find.  I booked Gilda thinking it was another restaurant that was recommended to me, but I&rsquo;m glad I made the mistake.  Gilda is very rustic, operated by a family and the food was amazing.  Fresh, wholesome Florentine, creative food.  The decor is rustic eclectic and my friend and I were the only tourists.  The rest of the diners were local business people.  We will definitely go back.

Second visit, equally wonderful.  Set in Fiesole centre with tables outside, a very nice experience.  Food was very good and just like the pictures shown on other posts, with ingredients locally sourced right  down to the honey. Stuffed peppers were not what we expected and a pleasant surprise with tastes of Thailand.  Cold tomato soup again a surprise, it&#39;s shrimp with diced fruits in a little tomato juice, very refreshing.  Pork medallions soft and gently cooked with a nice honey sauce was delicate flavours.Bit disappointed with the steak not peppery as advertised, but cooked nice wirh a good char,  potatoes were great.  The agnolotti was a beautiful, yellow tomato sauce and stuffed with tuscan sausage, a must.  The most unexpected carrot cake, a delight.Staff very nice, very helpful, seats a bit uncomfortable, on 2nd visit enjoyed comfy seats inside.

Very nice ambience, very nice reception. Unfortunately, the service staff sometimes spoke very quickly, rather indistinctly and quietly, which is a tiresome issue in many gourmet restaurants in Italy - but not in all of them.The wine wasn&#39;t topped up, even when asked, the sommelier was too busy and the other staff didn&#39;t hear or ignored our request.The white wine (Paleo bianco) was fantastic, we topped it up ourselves.The sommelier couldn&#39;t find the selected Spanish red wine (Ambrossar 2013) after a long search, we then drank a Pinot Noir at the very end, with dessert, unfortunately the wine wasn&#39;t so nice, and we also had to pour it ourselves again. This restaurant is part of a beautiful hotel overlooking the Tuscan hills just a 15 minute drive south of Florence.  The food was delicious with a tomahawk steak as the Chef&#39;s personal recommendation, and indeed it was delicious.  But being in the northern Chianti region, it was the wine that stood-out both in quality and affordability.  Service was ok: they were very busy and understaffed.

We had a great time at this restaurant. We&rsquo;ve enjoyed the local restaurants way more and this was no exception. Friendly staff, fast service and great food.

We had a very good lunch: the location is wonderful, on hills and a great landscape on the Chianti&#39;s area. The restaurant is well located with outside and inside areas. We got a Florentine&#39;s steak and some appetizers, plus a very good Chianti&#39;s wine. Service very good and on time. Strongly suggested.

The homemade pasta here is wonderfully al dente and bursting with flavor, seasoned to perfection&mdash;it truly makes for an unforgettable meal.

This little restaurant is a great find. It&rsquo;s a bit off the beaten path, a decent walk away from the center. Super casual. Menu is on a chalkboard. Very clean and cozy space. The service was a bit slow and they didn&rsquo;t open at their listed time. But the food was fantastic and worth the wait. The arancino was fabulous.

Staff were super lovely and friendly right from the beginning, food was very good throughout every course. They were busy and so there was some wait time for our main course - bistecca fiorentina - but they brought us extra potatoes on the house which was very nice of them. Will definitely go back!

The most delicious food. PIZZA! The best tiramisu in town and the sweetest people. This is always our first and last stop in Florence.

Great little restaurant with loads of atmosphere.  My wife and I between us had tagliolini and truffles, salad caprese, steak florentine for one and the aubergine main.  All were outstanding.  2 nice wines, a Chardonnay and a Chianti rounded off the meal.  Service was very friendly and a special thanks to our lovely young waitress.  Prices were very fairer &euro;22.50 for the steak (which I couldn&rsquo;t finish - it was large).  Highly recommend but you&rsquo;ll need to book.  It was humming on a Saturday night!

This place is a craft beer paradise! With a fantastic selection of Italian beers on tap, it&#39;s a must-visit for any beer lover in Florence.

We ate inside which is our recommendation due to the crowds in Piazza Santa Croce.It was quiet and peaceful. The service was outstanding ( Aldo) and the Bistecca one of the all time best ( we had a &quot; chianina&quot; steak) we have had in our many visits to Florence. This is not a fancy place but rather very homey and comfortable, very welcoming. And although not obvious from the interior, the wine list by the bottle was very good. The location is in a touristy area but we read about the steak here in the Florentine Newsletter where they gave this restaurant a very high rating. We were pleased to see many locals and highly recommend Bisteccheria Santa Croce to the&quot; bistecca fiorentina &quot; experience.
