Service was prompt even on a Friday night. Staff handled our table of eight well, orders came out quickly. Good for a business dinner or group.

Been coming here for years, and the O.G. platter is always spot on. The brisket is consistently tender and smoky.

The set menu on Tuesday was such a find. The food was genuinely good, and for that price? A proper steal. Just a lovely, uncomplicated little treat.

Still worth the drive even if they don't deliver to us anymore. The food is really good. They usually throw in some free prawn crackers, which is a nice touch.

Grabbed the lasagna takeaway with chips and salad. Everything was hot and fresh, tasted like proper home cooking. Good portion for the price.

Visited Durham for a super historical weekend. Didn’t dream we would eat in such an amazing restaurant too. The food would grace any Michelin starred table. Great taste and presentation throughout the 7 course tasting menu. (We added another to the 6 😋) wines and service exceptional too.

I had a delightful lunch at Gino D'Acampo Newcastle. The food was fresh and beautifully presented, especially the standout pasta dish. The riverside setting added to the overall enjoyment.

Bit of a trek from the centre, but honestly? The portion sizes here are huge. My main was easily enough for two. You definitely get what you pay for.

The pre-theatre set menu is a solid deal. Had the chicken in parmesan cream sauce, which was decent. The real win was the 2-for-1 cocktail offer – the Old Fashioned I had actually paired nicely with the richness of the dish. A good spot for a quick, well-priced bite and a proper drink.

Lovely little spot on the hill. We came for an early dinner and the service was so friendly and relaxed. The mushrooms in wine and garlic were a nice portion. Just a comfortable, easy meal.

As You Like It is a beautiful venue with stunning decor. I attended a birthday party there, and while the atmosphere was lovely, the service could use some improvement. Overall, it's a great place for events.

The burger was solid, hand-cut chips were spot on. Pasta portion looked decent for the price. Just a casual bite, nothing fancy, but hit the spot.

Service was top notch, shout out to Khaoula and Ayoub for the spot-on recommendations. Really made a difference.

The set menu for two was really tasty and felt like a good deal. I liked the wine list they had. The space itself is quite cosy, with these warm wooden tables and soft lighting - just a nice, relaxed spot to eat.

The food quality is impressive, especially the burgers and fish & chips. Fast service and a lively atmosphere make it a great choice!

The service at this restaurant is exceptional! Tom and Jamie were fantastic hosts, always checking in and making sure we had everything we needed.

The loaded fries were pretty good. The brisket was decent and there was plenty of it. Portion size is generous, though the fries themselves got a bit soggy by the end.

We go there at least once every couple of months there always friendly always clean the servers on the food are really pleasant, it is always tasty food never had a visit where we were not happy

Busy Friday night, but service was still attentive. The fish and chips were spot on, crispy batter and proper chips. A solid pub meal, no fuss.

The beer selection is decent. I tried a couple of local ales, the porter had a nice roasted note to it. The stout was a bit thin for my taste, but drinkable. That's pretty much all I noticed.

Been here a few times now. The chicken liver pate is the reason I keep coming back - smooth, rich, just right. Menu's got some interesting bits you don't see everywhere. Service is solid, no fuss.

The staff are so attentive, they even remembered my usual order. On a very busy evening, they never made us feel rushed. It was a really nice, relaxed meal from start to finish.

Changes noticed this week (different to last week) - the Yorkshire puddings have improved; the size of the meat portion has reduced and the gravy was lumpy. Overall the meal was good despite the former comments. Regrettably, the ambience was spoiled by some very noisy children but the service and staff were courteous and polite.
