Lovely terrace with a view of the castle grounds—that alone makes it worth stopping. We had a decent meal, nothing fancy, but the fries were properly crispy. Service was friendly and quick, even though the place was busy. I’d come back for a drink outside, maybe skip the food next time.

The pizza was solid and the price felt fair for what you got. Crust had a decent chew, toppings weren't skimpy. Place itself is pretty bare-bones though, kinda bright and the chairs are not great for lingering. Fine for a quick bite, just don't plan on hanging around too long after you finish.

Stopped by for a quick bite and grabbed a tart and a gosette. Both were solid, nothing fancy but done right. The old-school decor gives the place a nice vibe. Prices are a bit steep for what you get, but it’s fine for a treat. Wouldn’t go out of my way, but if you’re nearby, it’s a decent stop.

The vlaai we took home was solid. Sweetness level was on point, not too heavy. Crust held up well even the next day. Staff was fine, no complaints. If you're in the area and want a decent slice of local pastry, this does the job.

Cozy place with a solid beer list that won’t break the bank. Sat on the terrace for a lazy afternoon — service was friendly and quick.

Great beer selection, tried the Kwaremont and Korenwolf. Terrace is perfect for watching people go by in the village center.

Nice spot outside the city. Grabbed a quick coffee on the terrace, garden looks well kept. Service was fast enough for a lunch break. Food was decent, nothing fancy but it did the job. Prices fair for what you get. Would stop by again if I'm in the area.

Stopped by for drinks and nachos—the cheese was properly toasted, and the salsa was fresh. Service didn't lag either.

Decent spot for a relaxed lunch. Had the salmon salad, it was fresh enough and the dressing was light. Service was friendly, didn't rush us. Prices are fair for the area. Only thing is it got a bit noisy when the afternoon crowd came in. Still, pretty good for a casual bite.

The mixed grill was decent—meat came out tender, not overcooked. Service was quick too, no complaints there. Only thing is the noise level once the place fills up. Got a bit hard to hear my friend across the table. Fine for a casual dinner, just don't expect a quiet evening.

Lovely little spot in Vaals! The carpaccio with that cheese topping was really good, and our waitress was super sweet. Perfect for a casual catch-up with friends. 🥂

The fried egg with bacon and ham was solid. They swapped the bread for extra meat when I mentioned gluten, no fuss about it. Egg was still runny, bacon had a good crisp. My husband's croquettes came with thick-cut bread and a mustard that actually had some bite. Nothing fancy, but the food did what it needed to do.

Solid burgers and the ribs were properly juicy. Malbec from Argentina went way better with the food than I expected for this part of town. Place feels like a real upgrade from before.

Reasonable prices and a big menu of Belgian classics. Staff were friendly and we got our food quick. Solid spot for a filling lunch.

Stopped by for a kriek and honestly the selection is solid. Had the framboise, it was fresh and not too sweet. Place gets a bit loud later in the evening though. Fine if you just want a quiet beer earlier.

Pizza was massive, loaded with toppings, and didn’t break the bank. A solid pick if you’re hungry. The house red worked fine with it too.

The espresso here is genuinely good — proper Italian style, not the watery stuff you often get. I sat near the window and the light was nice, made the whole place feel warmer. Tiramisu was solid too, though the seating got a bit cramped after a while. Still, a decent spot in Leuven if you just want a quiet coffee.

Service was super attentive, they really noticed every little thing. Made the whole meal feel easy and relaxed.

Free parking is a plus. Wine list was solid, matched well with the duck. Tables are a bit tight and it gets loud, but that didn't ruin the meal.

The schnitzel was huge, really crispy on the outside. We sat near the window, and the light was warm, made the whole place feel cozy. Kids had a good time, they even had little things to keep them busy. Portions are definitely generous, we left stuffed. Maybe a bit busy on a Saturday night, but fine.

Came here on a busy evening, ordered the grilled chicken and some sides. Food was solid, flavors were there, nothing fancy but done right. Portion size surprised me, plenty for the price. Only downside, we waited a while for the food to come out. Not crazy long, but noticeable. If you're not in a rush, it's a decent spot.

Stopped by on a rainy afternoon and the owner let us sit and dry off before we even ordered. That alone says a lot. Had the chicken satay and sauerkraut—both had a proper homemade taste, not the usual reheated stuff. Place is small but comfortable. Only thing is it took a bit to get the food, but we weren't in a hurry. Fair price for what you get.

The falafel and shish tauk were really good, you can tell they make everything fresh in-house. We sat outside with a few friends and it was chill, not too loud. Service was friendly too. Only thing is the place is kinda small, but that didn't bother us much. Solid spot if you're in the area. 😊

Black and gold decor is really striking, modern rococo done well. Had the four cheese penne, pretty solid. Lots of vegetarian options too, which I always appreciate.
