This restaurant is my favorite so far in 2025. I absolutely loved the food. And the owners are absolutely lovely. I enjoyed my time and will come back next time I come to Antwerp. Thank you for this beautiful experience.

The sole was cooked perfectly, and the paling in 't groen tasted like something my grandmother would make. Service was attentive without hovering, which I appreciate. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The room looks elegant, though it did get a bit loud by the time we finished. I'd come back for a quiet lunch when it's less busy.

Decent spot for a proper meal. I had the tasting menu and thought the flavors were pretty good, though a couple of dishes felt slightly heavy. Service was friendly, no complaints there. It’s not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I’d come back if I’m in the area again.

Came here for a late lunch after wandering around Mechelen and honestly it hit the spot. Food was tasty and the vibe felt classy but chill at the same time. My teens (12 and 14) actually enjoyed it too, which never happens haha. Definitely a good pick if you're in the area.

The steak was cooked exactly how I asked, which doesn't happen as often as you'd think. Sat outside on the patio, and the breeze made it really pleasant. Service was friendly without hovering, so we could take our time. Just a decent spot for a relaxed dinner, nothing fussy. I'd come back if I'm in the area again.

The four-course menu at €80 felt fair for the quality. Portions were generous, and the cooking was solid. Decent spot if you're after a proper meal without the fuss.

The cocktails are still solid every time I stop by. Food's fine, nothing crazy, but it works for a quick bite.

Came here with the family for a casual lunch. Service was on point, not hovering over us or anything. Food tasted fresh, well-prepared. Nothing fancy but solid.

Food was solid, well-balanced flavors. The rustic farmhouse decor isn't really my thing, but whatever, the dishes speak for themselves. Quick enough for a lunch break.

Stopped by for lunch last week. Had the Strawberries Romanoff since they're in season right now. Done properly, not too sweet. The rest was decent too, nothing to complain about. Place was busy but we got a table without waiting. Probably come back when the menu changes.

Been coming here for a while now. The homemade croquettes are still the reason I show up—€4.50 for three, and they're actually filling. Not the cheapest snack in town, but the portion feels right for what you get. Service is friendly enough, nothing fancy. Solid spot if you just want something decent without overthinking it.

Been coming here for a while now, and the meter-long nacho platter still gets me every time. It’s just a solid sharing dish, loaded enough for two people. Staff’s always on top of things too, never had to wave anyone down. Not the cheapest spot, but you get what you pay for.

Lovely little Greek spot, old-school inside which I liked. Chicken breast was really tender, rack of lamb cooked properly. Fair price for what you get.

Stopped by for a late lunch and grabbed a glass of Assyrtiko while waiting — good call, since the grilled octopus took a while to come out. Portion was solid, classic Greek comfort stuff. Place was packed, so the slow kitchen made sense. Nothing fancy, but it hit the spot.

Stopped by for a quick dinner and the pizza really hit the spot. Crust was thin, toppings generous, seasoning on point. Staff spoke English which made ordering easy. Place has a relaxed feel, nothing fancy but comfortable. Price felt fair for what you get. Solid choice if you're in the area and want Italian without the fuss.

The oysters were spot on and that risotto with North Sea fish really surprised me. Service friendly, but it does get busy. Fresh seafood though, can't complain.

We stumbled in after a long walk and the salmon tartare with mango and cucumber really hit the spot. Fresh, light, well seasoned. Tiramisu was solid too, one of the better ones I've had lately. Cozy little place, felt like a proper escape. Just wish they had a bit more staff on the floor, we waited a while to get the bill.

The menu’s a bit pricey, but they run discounts often enough. Free appetizers get old after a while, but the mains and the wine list are solid. I usually stick to what I know here, and it hasn’t let me down. Good spot for a relaxed dinner without fuss.

The grilled fish was cooked just right, flaky and moist. They use fresh herbs, not dried, which made a big difference. Portion felt a bit small for the price, but the quality of the ingredients was solid. I'd come back for the lunch menu, seems like a better deal.

Stopped by for lunch and grabbed the handmade tortillas with the seasoned meat. That’s the real deal, properly flavored. Price felt fair for what you get. Service was friendly, nothing fancy, but fine. Place gets busy around noon, so don’t expect a quiet meal. I’d go back if I’m in the area.

The tasting menu had some really fresh, well-balanced dishes. Loved how the vegetables were handled. Wine pairing was nice too. A bit pricey for the portions, but the ingredients felt quality.

Came for the Indian food, stayed for the Nepalese momos. The chicken tikka masala was rich and flavorful, and the mixed grill was a solid choice. The lassi was perfectly balanced, not too sweet.

Sushi boat for two was generous, and the sake pairing worked nicely. Cozy spot, though it gets busy.

Smoked duck and ribs were solid. Staff took time to explain the menu in English, which helped. Portions are big, come hungry.

The cod with mashed potatoes and cheese was spot on, really well cooked. Fish croquettes were decent too. Tripel Karmeliet on the side made it better.

Kalypta is a hidden gem in Leuven with a vibrant atmosphere and great music. The food is not only tasty but also beautifully presented, making it a wonderful dining experience.
