Nice hidden courtyard in the center. Quiet spot for a coffee, away from the tourist noise. Garden does most of the work. Service was fine, nothing special.

The pizza here really stood out to me. Tomato sauce tasted fresh, not too sweet, and the base had that nice crispness without being dry. I went simple with a margherita, which is usually my test. It held up well. Menu has plenty of classic pasta options too, though I didn't try them this time. A decent spot if you're after straightforward Italian food.

We stopped by for a casual dinner and grabbed a table near the window. The beer list is decent, plenty of local options. Service was friendly enough, though we did wait a bit for the bill. Food was fine, nothing fancy, but the vibe is relaxed. I’d come back if I’m in the neighborhood and want an easy meal.

Loved the French-inspired decor and the playlist was spot on. Food tasted fresh but portions felt small for what you pay. Nice spot if you're in the center though.

Came in for a quick bite, got the pasta with sausage. Honestly pretty solid—sauce had good flavor, portion was decent for the price. Place was a bit busy but that's fine. I'd stop by again if I'm in the area and want something easy. Not fancy, but it works.

Good portions, fair price for what you get. The rice and meat plates are a solid pick if you can't decide. Quick enough for a lunch break.

Went for dinner last week and grabbed a seat near the open kitchen. Watching the two chefs work their station is genuinely entertaining—everything’s made to order, no shortcuts. Natural wine list pairs nicely with the menu, though I’d say the pour is a bit on the smaller side. Still, it’s the kind of place you settle into for the evening. Casual, unpretentious, and the food holds up its end.

Came for a quick bite and ended up staying longer than planned. The seating area is actually comfortable for a fast food spot—booths are roomy enough that you don't feel like you're on top of the next table. Got a burger and fries, nothing fancy but hit the spot. Place was clean, which I appreciated. They've got beer at night too, kinda unexpected for McDonald's.

Food’s solid. Got the steak sandwich and it came out fast, which I appreciate during a lunch break. Price is a bit steep for what you get, but the quality holds up. Menu’s pretty classic, nothing wild, but you know what you’re in for. Fine spot for a quick bite.

The Karmeliet Grand Cru was the star of our beer crawl 🍺 Cool modern space too, made it feel different from the usual old-school bars.

Been coming here for a while now, and the lemon meringue pie keeps me coming back. That tartness with the sweet topping, just right every time. Staff remembers me, which is nice. Place has a certain girly charm to it, not my usual spot but it works. Coffee's decent too, pairs well with the cake. Never had a bad slice.

The prawn in creamy sauce was the best thing we had. Cheese croquettes were so good we should've ordered another round. Cozy little place, nothing fancy, but the food speaks for itself. Only downside, it got a bit busy and loud by the time we finished. Still, I'd go back for those croquettes alone.

The staff really made us feel looked after, even with our kids in tow. Food was solid too. Just glad we managed to get a table.

Decent little spot. Had the pasta and it was pretty good, nothing fancy but solid. Service was friendly enough, kept it low-key. Place is cosy, maybe a bit tight if you're in a bigger group. Fine for a casual meal if you're nearby.

Stopped by for a quick bite in Stene. Eel in cream was solid, shrimp croquettes hit the spot too. Service was friendly and fast enough for a lunch break.

Honest cooking, decent portions for the price. Got the steak and it was fine, nothing fancy. Salad on the side was the same on every plate though, got a bit repetitive. For a quick meal without breaking the bank, it does the job. Not somewhere I'd go for a special night out, but the bill felt fair for what we got.

Had the seafood pasta — fresh, plenty of flavour. Place was packed but service stayed quick, got my food without a long wait. Some items are a bit pricey, but the pasta was worth it. Solid spot for a quick lunch if you're nearby.

The grilled fish in the pan was really fresh, cooked just right. We sat near the window and the light was nice, not too harsh. Chairs were comfortable enough to linger a bit. Staff smiled at our dog, which I appreciated. Only thing—it got a little warm inside by the end.

Five courses, and the pacing was spot on. No rushing, no awkward gaps. Food was solid, service kept up without hovering. Price is on the higher side, but you're paying for the whole rhythm of the meal. I left full and satisfied. That's about it.

Stopped by for lunch and honestly the place looks way better inside than from the street. Modern but not cold. Had the set menu, pretty solid for the price. Staff was friendly without hovering. Only thing is it got a bit busy around 1pm, but that's on me for timing. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

The seafood tasted really fresh and the cooking was simple but done right. Sat near the window, the light was nice but the chairs got a bit hard after a while. Still, comfortable enough to linger over dinner.

Stopped by for dinner with the family last week. Steaks came out properly cooked, mine was medium-rare like I asked. Price was reasonable for what you get, not cheap but fair. Place was busy but we didn't wait too long. Solid choice if you're in the area and want a decent meal without fuss.

The dim sum here hit the spot after a long walk along the coast. Prices are fair for what you get, and the wonton soup had that homemade feel. It's not fancy, but the flavors are solid. A bit quiet on a Tuesday evening, which I actually liked. Good enough to keep in mind for next time I'm in Ostend.

The three-course menu felt like decent value for what you get. Truffle pasta was the highlight — creamy without being too heavy. We didn’t order wine but the list looked solid. Only thing: the seating near the window was a bit cramped, not ideal if you’re planning to linger. Still, I’d come back for the food alone.

The owner came by our table himself to see if everything was alright. Nice touch, I thought. Service stayed attentive the whole time without being pushy. Made the meal feel easy and relaxed.
