TheForkUserWe booked a table indoors but when we arrived and decided to eat outdoors in the winter sun they were really helpful and quick in preparing a table for us. The food tastes really good and the price is good value for money. Perhaps the service is not fast enough but they are only two waiters for the whole restaurant. Very helpful and nice. The mussels a la marinerA, the squid and the octopus a la gallega were delicious. We did not choose the arrós caldos but we will surely do next time we visit this kind of let’s call it casual bar/tasca..

TheForkUserExcellent service and slightly better food/presentation than other restaurants around. Lovely building/setting. Worth a visit. One main dish was very short on the seafood content (3 clams, one king prawn and 2 calamari rings) so not worth the price but other options good.

TheForkUserBeen lucky enough to fine dine in Paris New York Sydney Singapour and Southend on Sea and Essencia's food easily compares with them all. Lunch was delightful with a great selection, the local Rose wine was cold crisp and dry in fact perfect. We will be returning to sample the rest of the menu although our very helpful waiter did inform us that the menu changes every week so I can see many many visits in the near future .

The robots making deliveries of orders was enjoyed by everyone, especially the children who enjoy petting them. Would recommend and will certainly visit again when next in the area.
