TheForkUserWonderful regional food cooked and presented well. Great service. The pear/calvados Aperol spritz was a great way to start the meal. Thank you.
TheForkUserHad a great time at the restaurant, really pleased about the entire Normand dinner experience and hospitality. The meat was being grilled directly at the fireplace infront of you. Do try to arrive early as the tables infront of the fireplace are quite popular. Service was top-notch and friendly, I fully recommend this restaurant to anyone who passed by Cabourg.
TheForkUserDelicious food and very kind staff and water. He had a lot of work as many people.Just three points: no more mise en bouche as last time…. It’s a pity and no aperitif biscuits. It’s definitely missing when you take a drink before the meal,Two little half bread toasts for the foie gras (when you got 3 nice slices it’s definitely not enough and you need to eat baguette.
TheForkUserNice place, gracious host, great food included a truffle pizza and appetizer, fantastic desserts and a dose of Calvados. Generous portions at a good price. Highly recommended for a nice and interesting meal.
TheForkUserAn excellent dinner before catching the ferry to Portsmouth. High quality food at a reasonable price. Interesting menu.
TheForkUserDeserves 2 Michelin Stars!!Only fly would be waiting time, ordered 2 coffees that never arrived. Sadly due to a 20 minute wait at the end of the meal didn't get to enjoy the petit fours in situ as had to leave. So great meal, service good but not great, mainly due to the coffee.Would I go back ? Hell yes!
TheForkUserWe arrived at the restaurant on the day (our third visit that week) to find that our reservation had been cancelled by the restaurant in favour of a private event without any prior notification by the fork or the restaurant.
TheForkUserHad an excellent Sunday lunch at Augusto Chez Laurent. The food was wonderfully presented and very enjoyable. Service was attentive and friendly and the restaurant has a nicely relaxed ambiance. Definitely recommend and look forward to another visit in the future.
TheForkUserThe taste of the food was incredible—unimaginable flavors. The service was superb. In our next trip, we are going to return to this magnificent restaurant.
TheForkUserWe didn't want much, no starters, just a Calzone for Hubby and a Caesar salad for me, both were excellent. House Rose was good (could have been slightly more chilled, but that's our preference). Service was exceptional. Dogs are welcomed, I added it to the booking note to ensure they knew in advance and they reserved a corner table for us which meant Chester slept all through the meal as he was undisturbed.
TheForkUserWe had been to this restaurant a couple of years ago and it was reasonable and we have recommended it to our friends . Today was a real awful experience: the food was disgusting as if there was no chef in the kitchen but just industrial food they put together and really expensive ! I am very angry to have spent so much money €104 which is more than € 25 / person . I literally feel robbed and might ask a refund ! Avoid this place and I will spread the word!
_TI***qmWe had a wonderful family evening at As de Trèfle, where the dishes were of high quality and showcased impressive finesse.
TheForkUserFirst a nice welcome by the team. Place at the 5th floor with a sea view.Nice atmosphere. Professional staff.Very good meal and wines.Price = quality. Some people may say: too expensive. Not sure compared to the quality.I would recommend this place. Hope next time with some sun :-)
TheForkUserVisually a cool restaurant, service was also good. Unfortunately, our tuna steak was swimming in olive oil and was fried through, thus not really edible. Our complaint was smiled away by the waiter. We probably chose the wrong main course and would rather advise to choose a fish platter where not much can go wrong.
TheForkUserThis restaurant is absoluately a must try when you are coming to Caen for sure. The discount is great price which comes with good taste.
TheForkUserOur group of 16, with half of us being children, was warmly welcomed by the owner, who showed great patience and attentiveness in taking care of us. The food was absolutely delicious—truly stunning. Every dish, from appetizers to mains and desserts, was simply perfect! This restaurant gave us a wonderful evening and left a lasting impression.
TheForkUserWonderful seaside restaurant with AMAZING food and a warm and welcoming staff. Everything we ordered was delicious. A must do!!
TheForkUserThe food is really good, yet the staff's attitude was unpleasant. We were a group of 6 and 2 of our friends were running late. We were told they had to be there in max 20 minutes if not they couldn't order and that a gastronomic restaurant is like a train, either you hop on on time or you loose it. We also wanted the menu dégustation which was not possible because of the hour. It was not indicated anywhere (including their website) that for the menu dégustation we had to be there at a certain hour. A friend of mine who was with her 4 month old was told to hurry up eating cause they had to bring the next menu. We've been to several Michelin star restaurants and have never been treated like this. An overall sub par expérience
TheForkUserA lovely original restaurant, good service, and good food. It is quite expensive but worth it. We ate the gravalax salad - which was a surprise as in my head I'd imagined smoked salmon and it was raw salmon. The salmon rillettes were delicious. The other main was the veal which was superb.
TheForkUserI don’t usually write reviews, but this place was fabulous! Don’t be fooled by it’s quiet(er) location, away from the bustling areas around the castle, b/c this is an excellent restaurant. We had 3 delicious galletes for dinner, then shared a crepe for dessert, one better than the next. Thank you for such a memorable meal!
TheForkUserThe restaurant is 2-minute walk from the Castle: excellent location. The food was of high quality and service was OK. Overall good value for money and I strongly recommend it!
TheForkUserIt was a restaurant where everything was ok but nothing was above the ordinary. Would I go again? probably not. I would look for somewhere a bit more interesting.
_TI***0yA lovely atmosphere with friendly staff and inventive cuisine. The food was stunning, although the wine prices were a bit high.
TheForkUserShazib greeted us for our last meal before leaving France, he was a smiling ,happy person who helped us with our meal choices, which there were plenty of although the restaurant is on the main road the view of the castle and church showed the history of the place. The food was excellent , we were not hurried by the staff to finish quickly and go, we had a nice time and would return.
TheForkUserThe food was great, the staff is very welcoming. It is a little restaurant very nice, easy to find, it's close to the historical center. I recommend it if you like indian food.
TheForkUserThe food was delicately prepared and beautifully presented, with well-balanced flavours. Service was good and overall value for money from the fixed-price menu was excellent. the restaurant lacks a lite in atmosphere, especially when it was not busy on a Tuesday evening.
