Nice spot by the river, perfect for a relaxed dinner. The view from the Embankment is lovely. Food was decent, though the service was a bit slow this evening. Still, a fine place for the location.

A regular for me in Bedford. I always get the spicy pad Thai with duck - the duck is so tender. The space is really cozy and intimate, which I like.

Had the sausage roll and Keralan pasty. Both were solid, well-made. The chai latte was good too. Service was efficient, got my order quickly. A reliable spot for a straightforward lunch.

Been coming here for years, and their burger night is the reason. Always the same quality - those patties are clearly handmade, never frozen. It’s just a solid, reliable spot for a good burger and a pint.

Been here a few times now. The fish and chips are always cooked right, never greasy. Good flavour. Prices are fair for the neighbourhood. A reliable spot for a quick meal.

The food was fine, service was nice. But I really liked the space itself. The high ceilings and those big windows let in so much light, made it feel really open and airy. A comfortable spot to just sit and chat.

Been coming here for years. The full English is always spot on, eggs just right, bacon crispy. Coffee’s strong and proper. Gets busy by 9, but that’s how you know it’s good.

Lovely view of the cathedral from the terrace on a sunny day. Had a coffee and a slice of their carrot cake - it was moist and not too sweet. A nice, quiet spot for a little break.

Booked with Tastecard, no fuss. Staff were on it all evening, really attentive but not hovering. That kind of smooth service makes a difference.

The vintage decor here is lovely, really cozy with all the mismatched china. A nice spot to unwind over a pot of tea. The scones were a bit dry, but the clotted cream was good.

The salmon and cream cheese on granary bread was spot on. Simple, fresh, and really hit the spot. Paired it with a crisp white wine from their short list, which worked a treat. Just a shame the coffee afterwards was a bit weak.

The lunch deal is a steal – two starters, two mains and two sides for under £20. The grilled halloumi starter was spot on, and the service was really friendly. A solid find for a weekday treat!

Found this spot on a busy street. Had the special – a lovely, light pasta. Just what I needed for a quiet lunch. Service was relaxed, maybe a bit slow, but it fit the mood. Nice little find.

Always busy, so you know it's good. My chicken tikka masala was piping hot and fresh. Portion was decent for the price, filled me up. Had to wait a bit for a table, but that's expected.

The sundried tomato and cheese biscuits were the best part. They were so flaky and savoury. The rest of the cafe is fine, but those biscuits really stuck with me.

Great coffee, and the gelato selection is impressive. The espresso was a perfect match for the pistachio scoop.

The chicken biryani was spot on, really fragrant. The bhuna curry had a nice depth to it, though the naga was a touch too fiery for me. Flavours were definitely there across the board.

The sausage roll here is the reason I keep coming back. The pastry is perfectly flaky and buttery, the sausage meat inside is really well-seasoned and moist. It's a proper homemade one, not like the dry, greasy ones you get elsewhere. Just a solid, classic version done right.

Mog was such a gem! He was really attentive but never hovered, which made catching up with my friends over the pasta and wine so much easier. The whole evening just flowed nicely because of him. A great spot for a relaxed group dinner.

The coffee is fantastic, easily the best I've had in Newmarket. The owners are lovely and always have a smile, which makes stopping by feel really nice. A very comfortable spot for a quiet cuppa.

The vegan fish and chips are spot on! The batter is so light and crispy. A really nice spot for a chill coffee too.

Nice spot for a celebration. The food was very good, and the service was attentive. A bit on the pricey side, but fine for a treat.

Booked ahead, glad we did - packed on a Saturday. Food still came out hot and the service didn't miss a beat even when they were slammed. Solid spot.

Popped into Lottie's for a coffee. The pink decor inside and out is so cute, really brightens the place up. You can tell the owner puts her heart into it, service is always spot on. A nice little find.

The halloumi salad was pretty good, as always. The staff are lovely and make it a pleasant visit. The portion felt a bit small for the price this time, but it's still a decent spot.

I had an amazing experience at The Embankment for my baby shower. The afternoon tea was delicious, and the service was impeccable. Tom, our host, was a delight!
