TheForkUserWonderful place- we sat outside and it felt like the whole town was eating dinner together. Cozy and family oriented with great food. Interior dining rooms were also super pretty.
TheForkUserExcellent food, creative recipes, well presented. Good wine from own local production. The mandarin sorbet is absolutely amazing.
TheForkUserA wonderful restaurant with great food and a nice ambience. The lamb chops and ravioli were great and the dolce to die for
_TI***1oThis restaurant is a hidden gem with a charming ambiance and a menu that offers great value for money. The quality of the food is impressive, making it a must-visit.
TheForkUserConstantly changing interesting and very tasty seasonal menu , friendly and helpful service, great wine list .. perfect
TheForkUserIncredible food, wonderful service and the garden was perfect. I would highly recommend!
TheForkUserNice place obviously specialising in meat dishes. Tartare was absolutely wonderful, tagliata slightly less so — tasty but nothing to write home about. Pork ribs was ok. As desert we had chocolate and rhum gelato — now THAT was quite something! All in all, a pleasant experience.
TheForkUserWe booked at the last minute through The Fork, and in reality, the place was full. We were given the option to wait or to leave. The staff were nice except for the cashier, who seemed upset that we chose to wait (it was late and we weren't in the mood to look for something else). Other than that, the food was good.
TheForkUserThere ist one word to define it FANTASTICO!We have been here twice, because we love this restaurant. Service, quality of food, wine list and the unbeleavable view fron the terrace ist UNFORGETABLE!Whenever we will return to Il Caveau, be sure we will be back - Grazie de tutto, the Austrians
TheForkUserThe service was excellent. Lauren did the best of everything in terms of service. The ambience is exceptional. The menu should include some traditional offerings. Sliced steak, pasta with standard ragu sauce. The trend in restaurants today is to prepare meals in an over the top sort of way (too complicated) more about architectural presentation than a more traditional (italian home cooking) style.
TheForkUserwonderful experience. I took the surprise menu with wine pairing. The food was very good, and the wines matched the fishes very well. Dishes were presented in an original fashion, and the quality of the produce was very good.
TheForkUserWe decided to dine here for our Thanksgiving dinner and we had a fabulous experience! This Michelin star restaurant deserves the accolades! We selected the 7 course Chef's choice menu which was filled with creative flare, beautiful presentations and excellent wine pairings. At first we thought the restaurant was going to be "stuffy and too formal" but the staff was engaging, incredibly knowledgeable and charming.
TheForkUserExceptional quiet restaurant. Great wines I know Italy is famous for pasta but it is so often not done well This place is an exception. Wonderful lunch stop if touring
TheForkUserExcellent food and equally excellent service (with a little history lesson on the town and area). Great decor and overall ambiance of the place.
TheForkUserThe restaurant is beautifully set out and furnished. The food was excellent, with plenty of interesting choices based on local ingredients. The portion sizes were generous and service very attentive.
_TI***l4I highly recommend the authentic Neapolitan pizza here; it's delicious and the staff is friendly and professional.
TheForkUserWhat a find! It's worth the drive even if you're coming from a distance. The food was amazing and not the usual fare we've seen everywhere else in northern Italy. The upstairs enclosed balcony was also a quiet, romantic setting facing a courtyard from 1120 AD that the owner and her brother played in when growing up in what was their grandfather's home. The service was great, too.We can highly recommend Chiostro Cennini.
TheForkUserThe restaurant was effortlessly located. Despite being an hour late, the restaurant graciously saved our table. The service was impeccable - neither too fast nor slow. The owner's warmth was truly memorable, and our conversation about the restaurant's history was enlightening. The food was exquisite, and the taste of the bruschetta still lingers in my memory as unparalleled. As a vegetarian, I discovered delightful dishes and effortlessly harmonized my meal with that of my carnivorous husband. Great restaurant to go
TheForkUserUnfortunately the oven had broken so menu was limited. Perhaps we should have been made aware of that before we arrived. Food ok. Very quiet at restaurant so lacked atmosphere.
TheForkUserIt has been three years since our last visit due to the pandemic. We were delighted to find it as great as always. The staff are amazing and friendly, it was very busy but they don’t let it show and continue to give great service. The portions were large and good value. We are so glad to be able to visit them again.
_TI***l8The owner is incredibly kind and attentive, making the dining experience feel personal and welcoming. The food quality is top-notch, especially the homemade dishes that showcase authentic Italian flavors.
_TI***bkWe stumbled upon this gem and were pleasantly surprised by the authentic cuisine and pleasant atmosphere. Every dish we tried was delicious, and the value for money is exceptional.
TheForkUserWe come here twice a year. Best in Tuscany, staff and service and food is tops. Don’t come here we want this place to ourselves!
_TI***lbI was impressed by the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the food. The prices are reasonable considering the high standard of service and cuisine offered.
TheForkUserThe pork special with pasta, as well as the mixed grill & wonderful roast potatoes, were all equally good, along with the delicious Rossi di Montalcino red house wine. You can’t go wrong with house wine this good!
TheForkUserWhat a great italian experience.Friendly staff they make you feel very welcome. The food tasted lovely.Pure and fresh.
_TI***ddA must-visit for anyone in Todi! The combination of quality food, friendly service, and a beautiful location makes this place stand out. The desserts, especially the homemade tiramisu, are a delightful way to end your meal.
TheForkUserWe enjoyed an exceptional lunch at this charming restaurant. It is Michelin recognised and recognised by the Italian chefs association. This small family restaurant, owned and operated by generations since 1964, has beautiful views of the lake below. We did the ala carte menu. My wife loved the artichoke starter. We had the venison, our friends had the pigeon and loved it. The spice cake chocolate dessert was amazing. We had a beautiful local red wine, highly rated on Vivino and reasonably priced. The host, Luca, is the brother of the chef, Paulo Trippini, the bar next door is operated by their sister.
TheForkUserWhen you finally found the restaurant which is only possible with help by phoning the owner you are totally satisfied. The menue is very interesting, good quality, the staff is friendly and fast. We were really satisfied in all aspects even I was nearly furious when searching the place and driving around like a fool. The tartare from gamberi wasn't perhaps the optimum as it would have needed more avocado dip. All the rest was to our absolute satisfaction. Also wine by the glass. Price/quality and discount were very good.
