TheForkUserPerfect wait staff, perfect food. Accomodating to a vegetarian.
TheForkUserI have not enjoyed a meal so much for a long time. There was imagination, adventure and respect for quality ingredients in the 98 euro menu, with at least three stand-out courses. One, the St Pierre (John Dory) was exceptional and reminded me of visits to Gordon Ramsey in his prime. If a couple of dishes worked slightly less well - the chapon, in particular - it did not detract from the overall experience. Service was superb throughout. My wine choice was a joy and all credit to La Serre for being early adopters of Gigondas blanc. We genuinely can’t wait to go back next year to try this example of French restaurant skills at their (almost) finest. Walking distance of the town centre too…
TheForkUserWe had the Menu Pempoull and really enjoyed it. The mackerel starter was weakest part but a good job was made of an ordinary fish. The quail main course and the dessert were both sublime. We had the menu Aodou an Arvor previously as while it was also very good the food we got from the Pempoull menu was really top class and amongst the best meals we ever got in Paimpol or anywhere else for that matter.
TheForkUserwe don't often go to fancy restaurants so it was memorable for us. The food was very good (though the plate is not too big, we're not big eaters but still left a bit hungry), but the service, quality of the dishes and great view made it very worth it !
TheForkUserHad a delicious meal gere. Service was really good.
TheForkUserGood choice on the menu, food very good. Wonderful views of St cast beach plus able to watch the golfers at play. Will be good in summer to sit on the terrace with our dog.
TheForkUserGreat lunch experience. We discovered Many New tastes in this Cuisine du monde. We liked the explanations on the meals, the tastiness, the flexibility of the restaurant to respond to food allergies. The place is cosy and homey. We also liked the mid century decor. Also, we were there with (well behaved) children and teenagers and this was not an issue.
TheForkUserIt's the 3rd time I've had the tasting menu and ever the flavours are delicious and innovative. The staff are very friendly and it's a great evening out
TheForkUserWe had a lovely lunch with friends. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were good. The waiter was helpful and friendly. The prices are very reasonable. The food is as good as many much more expensive restaurants.I would highly recommend La Bisquine.
TheForkUserThe service and food were outstanding. Some very interesting combinations and all were wonderful. Rather expensive but absolutely worth the price.
_TI***csA charming atmosphere with a retro decor adds to the dining experience. The fish soup and seafood sauerkraut were exceptional, making it a place worth returning to.
TheForkUserChez Tonton Guy is an excellent restaurant and offers a great overall dining experience. The one bit of critique would be the lighting intensity. They can offer a cozier experience by dimming their lights by 50%. Less light intensity = cozy.
TheForkUserWhat a great little restaurant that has been beautifully refurbished. Very welcoming staff and excellent food. We look forward to returning when next in Dinan.
TheForkUserThis simple restaurant serves good quality food and wine in a pleasant dining room. Our duck was delicious and served with an unusually generous vegetable selection for this part of the world. The crayfish starter was fresh and tasty and the pistachio crème brûlée was a first for me, a brilliant combination. An excellent dinner, recommended.
