TheForkUserMy husband and I were looking for a place to have dinner with good food at a reasonable price. We found the perfect spot! The service was amazing and both the owners, Eric and Philippe, were incredibly attentive. I had the special (chicken and sausage) and my husband had the steak which was cooked exactly how he requested, medium rare. They had a great selection of wines and desserts. It was a nice surprise when the owner brought us two glasses of champagne to wrap up our meal. This is a gem of a restaurant and would highly recommend it for dinner!
TheForkUserService was impeccable and the food was memorable from start to finish. Great pairings with local wines from the Burgundy region.
TheForkUserA lovely menu, exceptional food at an excellent price. We had a memorable dining experience and plan to return as the meal was of such a high standard. Merci !
TheForkUserThe food was delicious and nicely presented. Of course, fantastic wine choices. The restaurant was elegant but comfortable. We also had a small dog and the staff and guests still made us feel welcomed. We would definitely go back!
TheForkUserDelish meal. The special 3 course menu option is a great value for the quality of ingredients. The sommelier was very kind and able to recommended a great bottle in our price range. So far this was our best meal in France!
TheForkUserThe food was amazing. Awesome restaurant in the middle of nowhere but 5 star food and service! The fois gras ravioli was the best thing I have EVER eaten! So good. Seriously Michelin star worthy!
TheForkUserThe boeuf and lapin dishes were excellent, as was the local cheese selection for the desert. Great food without too much pretentious pfaff.
TheForkUserThe place is quite bizarre, an old elegant building just attached to a modern Ibis hotel in a developing area in the perifery of Dijon. The restaurant itself is obviously also used as the breakfast room for the hotel, yet it retains a certain style. The menu is limited, but what we had was excellent and nicely presented.
TheForkUserGreat place for a special occassion or when you want to treat yourself with great food and wines. Le Montrachet does not offer a wine pairing but the Sommelier was very helpful with suggesting wines by the class for the courses. And there is a great selection of wines by the glass.
TheForkUserA lovely restaurant with a nice garden. Very attentive staff with good knowledge of accompanying wines with dinner. The food was delicious (tartare au thon and the canard)! Pleasant flavours!
TheForkUserOur dinner at Le Cheval Noir was one of the most memorable dinners we had in our time in France! From the consistency in quality of the food to the outstanding service and advice regarding wine paring, we could not have asked for more. We cannot recommend this establishment any more highly and will certainly return.
TheForkUserAlways elegant and special. You feel amazing just being there and the food is amazing. Kind staff, great chef and great wine list
TheForkUserWe were a group of 10 and were the only ones in the restaurant, on a Tuesday night. The food was excellent, with a depth of flavour and great flavour combinations. The service was very good and all of us thought the experience overall was superb. A limited menu, but what we had was enjoyed.
_TI***fpI was truly impressed by the impeccable service at this restaurant. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, making our evening feel special from start to finish.
