Popped in for a coffee and ended up staying for cake. Their millionaire&#39;s shortbread is lovely, really buttery and rich. The tables are quite close together, but the staff were very friendly and didn&#39;t rush us at all. A nice, relaxed spot.

The muffins were so fresh, you could tell they were baked that morning. My cappuccino was perfectly hot with a lovely, rich flavor. It&#39;s rare to find a place that pays such close attention to the quality of their ingredients. A really nice spot for a simple, wholesome breakfast.

I had an excellent experience at The Exchequer on Christmas Day. The meal was delicious and offered great value for money, complemented by cheerful and friendly service from the staff.

Popped in for breakfast a few times. The jam donuts were so good &ndash; you could tell the jam was fresh, not overly sweet. A nice treat with my morning cappuccino.
