TheForkUserI really don't want to share our neighbourhood restaurant with you. We'd never get a table . But it deserves it. The food and wine is regional (Abruzzo) and the owners can tell you, with pride, in detail, about each of their suppliers. We love the pasta (the lamb ragu is my favourite) and the sharing plate. TheForkUserThe pizza was incredible! The dough was completely unique and soo light. We tried a variety of pizzas including the vegan one and all were delicious with fresh toppings. Even the starters were delicious, soo fresh and beautifully presented. The waiter/chef (yes he did both!) was really friendly and accommodating. TheForkUserWe booked Balans for Breakfast based on previous reviews. The restaurant has a nice feel and we liked the decor. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, on the day we dined there, I think they may have been short staffed in the kitchen. We were kept waiting a long time for our food and when it did come, only 3 out of 4 orders arrived. My daughter had to wait nearly another 10 minutes for her breakfast burrito. The food was nice and tasty although the bacon had quite a bit of fat on it and the sourdough toast was a bit burnt on the outside. To the manager’s credit, he did give us free coffees to compensate for the delay.PizzaExpress
