Portion sizes above average and, even when there's rugby on or a super-sized party in attendance, the service is remarkably quick and reliable. Yorkshire Puddings are a meal on their own :-) Book in advance, though. There's a roaring fire on in the winter so you'll be cosy too and after a pint you will feel your face getting extremely warm! A big shout out to the barman - the pineapple spritz was a delight! When we had finished our meal we moved into the bar area and saw in the New Year with some live music (excellent guitarist!).
