TheForkUserI use Toby quite a lot. Recently I've noticed that we have no sooner finished our meal that the staff are bringing the bill. It has all the feel of a production line. I could understand if the Toby was busy. When I booked on line we were given 2 hours and only used half this time.Stop rushing to move people, take a breath.Bill's Richmond

TheForkUserI took a friend to the Toby Carvery in Redhill for the first time. While we were waiting to be given a table, the first thing we heard was a lady behind the bar angrily shouting at the restaurant staff: "What's the point of me being behind the bar and training you if you don't let me train? I might as well go home." This was very unprofessional and not a little embarrassing for us to hear. My friend was not impressed. However, once seated, the carvery food was great. Special mention to our waitress, Alex, who was lovely: very friendly and chatty. We wish you well, Alex - you'll go far!!Latymer

The pub itself felt very festive and cozy, perfect for the Winter ahead and a very inviting bar and selection. The food we ordered was delicious, 3 out of 4 of us ordered the pie of the day which was delicious along with accompaniments and a very good portion. TheForkUserMy friends and I have a meal here every few weeks for a catch up. This time, we arrived to find a brand new menu! The prices have rocketed somewhat, but the choices (as long as they haven't run out) are very good! I usually take pictures of everything, but didn't for some reason last night, probably too eager to get stuck in to my half rack of ribs and loaded chips - two new items on the menu which come under 'extra sides', or something like that. The ribs were 5.99 and the loaded fries were 6.99, and along with the free salad bowl there was more than enough to satisfy.
