TheForkUserIt was an extremely disappointing visit! We made a reservation from home (The Netherlands), we drove to Düsseldorf and when we came at the restaurant the staff told us that there was no reservation, that there was a private party and that we couldn’t eat in the restaurant. They told us that they used The Fork app for a couple of months in the summer, but stopped using the app so that it was not their fault that we had no place to eat at 8:00 pm. And on top of the disappointing experience the manager or owner came by and had no compassion for our situation at all and tried to get rid of us a.s.a.p. He said: “The Fork we don’t do business with, we have no table, Goodbye!” And than he walked away! Ofcourse we understand that it was an unpleasant situation for both parties but we had expected a bit more sympathy. The manager/owner should take an example of his younger employees who seem to know more about hospitality than him and were genuine sorry for us.
TheForkUserFrom the beginning we have been treated with care, from the suggestion of the table (with a nice view to the Rheinturm), to the offer of tasty fresh mandles on ice, warm sesam bread with sauces, till the kind surprise of the dessert with fresh fruit slices. The menu gives you the possibility to choose between different type of italian and turkish food. We have been always served with care, kindness and attention. Particular athmosphere in the evening, inside the restaurant, created by the light that is passing through the stone decorations. Thank you and see you soon!
