TheForkUserInitial impressions were ok. Wasn't offered water as other tables were ...One starter was ok, though small. The other starter again was small and various components of the offering didn't work. Both mains didn't have a lot of flavour. One in particular was small. One of the mains were commented on and it was obvious the waiting staff didn't like the answer. Then the bill suddenly arrived without asking for it.The whole meal wasn't value for money. Sadly this wasn't a restaurant we would visit again nor recommend.
TheForkUserWe had the tasting menu with wine. Great and inventive food, interesting wines and very good service
TheForkUserLovely airy and light restaurant with fabulous views over the beach out to sea, don’t be put off my going up into the building as when you get to the restaurant the staff and food are lovely, two set 3 course meals and quite a lot of choice a la cart. Staff were very attentive and spoke very good English if needed. Would highly recommend
TheForkUser5 starts aren't enough to describe this exceptional culinary experience. Every course is a perfect combination between textures and flavours. The service was highly professional, kind and well timed. This was by far one of the best meals we had in the last years. Highly recommended, and worth travelling for.
TheForkUserExcellent food, really excellent staff etc. BUT. We booked a table for 18.30 on your site and guess what. ……. The restaurant doesn’t open until 19.30!!!!!!!
TheForkUserTablecloth was not ironedWaitress poured red wine in a glas of white wine that I had just finishedFoie gras with brioche was very tastySouris agneau very juicyPlatter of cheese too much of the same , no mix hard and soft cheesesWaitress had to serve the whole dining room by herself …chapeau
TheForkUserGreat food, ambience and très Sympa service. The pasta, sauce, meat selection is brilliant giving flexibility of choice. The truffle sauce was perfect!
TheForkUserThis lovely restaurant is such a jewel! Friendly, cosy and family atmosphere, exquisitely attentive staff, great service and above all, delicious food! I would definitely eat here again.
TheForkUserSpectacular dinner in Rouen! We added the caviar and lobster course as well as the cheese course. The cheese is magnificent! Our waiter recommended a gin made by the chef which was so good we bought a bottle to bring home! He also recommended a deep cider to pair with the cheese which was perfect and a rum to go with our desserts. A really special dining experience! Would highly recommend!
TheForkUserThis is our "go to" restaurant when we are in Rouen. We had not visited since before Covid so we were delighted to find that the quality of the dishes and attention to detail and presentation had been maintained. The staff are very welcoming and there is a pleasant interaction between customers and staff. A strong french influence to the dishes, often with a surprise twist. A great dining experience.
TheForkUserVery good restaurants, central and with outside space. Food is good and portions are generous. I would have loved to see more "V-Vegetarian" symbols by the food that could be suitable for vegetarians (I am one and I ordered the goat cheese salad, that came with lots of ham ..)Beside that, great choice of wine, fast service and fair prices
TheForkUserGreat informal dining on a summer evening - and clearly very popular with visitors and locals. They offered an excellent choice of veggie food.
TheForkUserGood food and friendly people that made us welcome what else do you need!Enjoyed our meal and pleased we found somewhere close to our overnight stop in this quite little village.
TheForkUserThe restaurant was welcoming and the food was out of this world! Well done! The best Lebanese we have tasted for a while! We will be back when in Rouen.
TheForkUserUnfortunately, there were 2 dogs at the table next to us. Beside the fact that I am allergic to most dogs (and cats). the dogs were free to walk around/under the table, growling, barking and making other noise. To me, this was unacceptable and I will not recommend to friends that frequently visit France.
TheForkUserThe service is poor: they took 30 minutes to take our order (they didn’t even ask for drinks). They then took another 30 minutes to bring the starter ( it was just a plate of cheese)Quality of the food is poor, the entrecote and the lamb ribs were tough . The Price is very high for the quality of the food. Moreover,: they just speak French and don’t try to speak English with tourists, making it very hard to communicate and to understand the server when ordering
TheForkUserA wonderful place for a family, large bay windows, large terraces, horse riders cantering in the paddock (front) or the riding hall (back), surrounded by fields and forests, little kids running around barefoot, good music but not too loud, very friendly waiters and a cat. A nice place, and nice people.
TheForkUserA great bistro with a view of the sqaure. The deep-fried camembert 'starter' was truly amazing & fully reccommended - with far more things going on in it (walnuts, croutons, salad etc...) than you'd think from reading the description on the menu!
TheForkUserIt’s a small authentic Italian restaurant in Le Pollet area of Dieppe. Dishes were tasty and homemade by an Italian chef. Would have been good to have salad with our meals too We had a lovely evening with our group of 8 friends. Merci
TheForkUserA typical well established French Brassiere, the menu and wine list very good.A large coach party arrived shortly after we sat down but this did not effect the warm friendly service we received. The Fork had failed to confirm our booking with the restaurant until 5 minutes after our arrival but thankfully a table was still available for us.
TheForkUserExcellent value and wide ranging menu.We had to compete with an albeit civilised wedding party but attentive sociable staff
TheForkUserThe service was excellent and they made us feel welcome, despite our limited French. The food was wonderful as well. We loved the ambiance - quirky and fun. Overall, our best meal so far. Highly recommended.
TheForkUserWe arrived early for our booking and were immediately greeted and assisted to find a table (were given an option of seat). Our drinks choices were taken and menu offered immediately. We were given time to choose and the staff were very reactive to our needs. Once our order was taken very soon the table was arranged (as we ordered a seafood platter) Another table was pulled alongside to put this on. We were given the necessary tools for the crab and lobster and a couple of hand wipes each plus bowl for scraps to go on. The seafood was all fresh and well cooked apart from the oysters that were supposed to be raw. Additional bread was quickly available. We both tried local cider which was delicious and drinks were not pushed as we were driving. We tried the mini dessert collection a variety of hot n cold. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and will return. Recommended. Free parking by the beach 5-10 mins walk.
TheForkUserThe staff gave you the feeling not being welcomed. No attention at all. After having placed the order we had to wait half an hour to get our drinks. Starter and main course served at the same time. Of course, there were nothing wrong with the oysters, the main course became cold and was tasteless. There are better alternatives in the city
TheForkUserTurned up 5 minutes early to discover the restaurant hadn't opened. My fault as I didn't notice the opening times. Once inside, we couldn't have had a more enjoyable experience.
TheForkUserGreat little place to stop and have a lovely meal before boarding the ferry back to Newhaven. Fast and efficient service from a very friendly server, food was excellent - we especially liked the cheese naan - a first for us! Would definitely return - thank you!
