Sashimi and local fish in the hotpot were the highlight. Very fresh, good quality. The seafood overall was solid. Service was a bit slow during the dinner rush, but the food itself made up for it. Would go back for the fish.

The fish was served at the perfect temperature. Even the shape of each nigiri felt so precise. You can really sense the attention to detail here.

Fresh crab in winter is a must. Quick and satisfying lunch.

The seasonal tomato vegetable ramen was interesting. Noodles were flat, almost like pasta. Light broth, easy to finish. Not a classic ramen taste, but a decent lunch option near the office.

Tried the Echizen Plate Soba. Five little plates, fun way to eat. Handmade noodles were really good, nice chew to them. Went well with a glass of local sake. Simple and solid.

Tried their local sake tasting set. Had Kokuryu and Bon. Went really well with the sashimi and tempura. Nice little match.

The egg katsudon set was pretty good. The cutlet stayed crispy, and the egg was just runny enough. The portion is decent for the price. It's a solid choice for a quick lunch.

Menu's huge, lots of local stuff like heshiko and crab. The staff actually showed me how to eat the crab properly, which was cool. Just a bit pricey for what you get.

The crab tank at the entrance is a nice touch. You can see them right there, so you know the seafood is fresh. I ordered the grilled crab legs, and they were perfectly simple. Just a bit of salt to highlight the natural sweetness. The freshness really comes through.

The lunch set is 2000 yen. Good selection of sides, and you can choose how you want the egg with your rice. Felt like a balanced meal.

The soba's firm texture was great. Had it with a glass of chilled sake, a nice pairing for a filling lunch.

The meat here is so fresh and the colors are just beautiful. We had a great time grilling it ourselves over charcoal with friends. The smoky flavor really makes it special.

Been coming here for years. The pasta is always fresh, and the desserts are simple but good. It's a solid spot for the price, around 3,000 yen. The entrance is a little hidden, but you get used to it.

Been coming here for years, and the oden is always on point. The broth is deep, the daikon melts in your mouth. It's the one thing I order every time, never disappoints.

The shrimp tempura was nice, plump and crispy. The tartar sauce had a good tang. But honestly, after trying it, I still think you have to get the miso katsu. That one just hits different.

Just a short walk from Fukui Station's east side. The large parking lot is a huge plus. Tried their local sake flight—really complemented the grilled fish. A solid spot if you're driving in.

The sashimi bowl next to Fukui Station was just what I needed. The fish tasted incredibly fresh, like it was just prepared. A perfect, healthy choice for a quick meal before catching my train. The rice was warm and the portion felt just right.

Loved the food here! Came with a few friends and we shared a bunch of small plates. The grilled octopus was so tender, and the truffle fries were a hit. Perfect for catching up over good bites.

Been coming here for years, and the breakfast set is my go-to. Just the price of a coffee gets you toast, an egg, and that unlimited salad bar. It’s the consistency I appreciate.

Stopped by for a quick bite. The menu is huge, which is nice when you just want to try something different. Got the chicken katsu curry, it was solid and filling.

Chef's set for lunch. Sashimi, fried fish, grilled fish. All solid. The grilled Spanish mackerel was really tender. Came out quick, which I needed. Good for a fast, proper meal.

Music was at the perfect volume. Really chill vibe. Bread in the morning is a nice, light start.

Been coming here for years. It's the real deal, feels like stepping back into a Showa-era building. Cozy, calm, and traditional. Just the right spot when you want a quiet meal.

Booked a table last minute and got lucky. The chef's smile when we walked in was so warm, felt like we were regulars even though it was our first time.

The vibe is so cozy here, right by the station. I love the warm wooden counter for solo dinners. It just feels right. The grilled chicken skewers were simple but hit the spot. A little smoky, perfect with a cold beer.

The interior is so clean and bright, even when it's packed.
