It is nice to see that they tend to stay for several years which means they are happy. The owners are also very welcoming and sympathetic. We have been there many many times and have never been disappointed. And if you don’t like meat, which we highly recommend, there are options.

The current methodology of proposing a pompus “surprise” menu is just a means for the restaurant to serve you economically and to their own convenience, using an opaque pricing model where you have no idea what you are getting for your money. The dishes were small and lacked any kind of personality and the “meat dish” on the verge of an insult. This was a restaurant we used to really enjoy, but unfortunately won’t be returning to. Shame.

We have eaten here at least 6 times during our group of four’s, one month stay in Talloires and it quickly became our dependable, go to local eatery. It was our favorite in town. The lac perch preparation was the best, even better than anything I had in Lyon, loved the vitello tonnato as well. Plus, it’s probably the only restaurant in France with French comedy skits running on a loop on a TV in the toilette.

However the manager of this is a bit greedy, think that he is alone on the marketplace and not very flexible when you suggest something. The quality of the food doesn't deserve such attitude, sorry it's very French and I am french too. No possibility to provide tip with a credit card.
