TheForkUserThis is the third time of coming here for a special occasion and it never fails. The best steak we have ever eaten. Service attentive by polite friendly staff.
TheForkUserThe food was delicious and the staff provided great service. We were not keen on the new sections where we were sat. It is too high and you feel too shut off from the rest of the restaurant.
Sally SwiftOur First meal here for nearly 3 years to celebrate our Anniversary was greeted by Ash who remembered us from our last visit Beautiful meal complements to the chef Shall be back
TheForkUserThe young lady who served us was very helpful and friendly, the food was delicious, the only downfall was the tables were left with dirty plates and surroundings but that may have been due to staff shortages but on the whole a lovely meal
TheForkUserThe staff were nice especially our waitress how was lovely, really nice food we won’t eat anywhere else from now on when we are In Canterbury, looking forward to returning have told my brother in law and his wife about it and they are going next week.
TheForkUserAbsolutely love this restaurant, really lovely food. Great atmosphere, great service and great food. Brilliant place to go for a leisurely lunch/dinner.
TheForkUserMy friend and I had just completed a 10 mile walk in 3 hours so it was great to receive a warm welcome on entering and the offer of pre- lunch drinks which were quickly produced. We were well looked after throughout our lunch by Steph who was polite, friendly and efficient. The food itself was very good (we both had the Sea Bass in a Pea and Pancetta veloute). First time visit but certainly not the last.
TheForkUserMy friend and I enjoyed a lovely carvery today. We received a lovely welcoming and a fast service. I didn't catch his name but the man that welcomed us and sat us at our table was really polite. Great food, great price and brilliant service. Thank you
TheForkUserThe food was cooked and presented well, the salad bar was fresh and plenty, and the service and staff were very pleasant and helpful
TheForkUserDue to health reasons I am unable to eat a full meal. The waitress by the name of Fran was very helpful and made sure my needs were met
_TI***ezThis restaurant has a nice location with ample parking, and the food is well-priced with reasonable portions. Definitely worth a visit!
TheForkUserWe try to visit the Foundry every time that we visit friends in Canterbury (about twice a year). Every visit the food, beer, & service has been excellent. Highly recommended!
TheForkUserA gem hidden in plain sight! The cosy atmosphere and gentle buzz as the lunctime service grew. Clearly there were many regular customers making for a friendly atmosphere. We ordered Cozze marinara and and a prawn and avocado salad. Both genreous and excellent. Our pasta mains were cooked to perfection (again, generous proportions. Staff were atentive and we did not feel rushed. Very good house rose Pino Grigio. Heartally recommend this well-established and authentic restaurant.
TheForkUserA great Place to visit, tucked away and warm and cosy with plenty of choice of menu and seating areas to suit most ,and the staff are all really friendly and make you feel welcome and service you are not waiting a long time for makes it a good choice .
_TI***oxI had a lovely breakfast here, and the service from Lesley was exceptional—she was warm and welcoming, making the experience even better.
_TI***cpThe live music on Friday night created an incredible atmosphere at the Waterfront. The generous portions and high-quality food, especially the fish pie, made for a memorable dining experience.
TheForkUserIt was my Grandson's First Birthday - we had been eating sausage Rolls and sandwiches all day but by the evening needed a proper meal !! We read reviews and it sounded good so we gave it a try. We are not local so it was our first time. We have been to various carveries before but I have to say your food was the best I had eaten at this type of Restaurant. All the meat was tender and moist and the roast potatoes in beef fat were the best ever. In fact all the vegetables were lovely. we agreed that on our next visit to Southend we would take my daughter, her husband and our Grandson for a treat. The atmosphere was cosy and the staff were all friendly and helpful. In particular our waitress Mandy was really friendly and funny. It really made a difference to our visit. we will recommend and be back next time we are in the area.
_TI***rmThe restaurant has a plush and relaxed setting with attentive staff, making it a great place to enjoy good food in a comfortable atmosphere.
TheForkUserA great Sunday lunch and well worth the money A very good choice of starters and desserts as well as a great roast would highly recommend the folk at the Bridgewood Manor will be going again very soon very friendly staff and great service
TheForkUserA lovely experience for myself and my friend. The setting had a lovely Christmassy feel and backdrop. The choices on the menu were good and the food beautifully presented. The service was just right we were not hurried and the staff were helpful.
TheForkUserLast evening was not my first visit. Each occasion provides excellent food, served by nice people. Every time. The kind of food not available elsewhere.
_TI***ruI enjoyed a lovely meal in a peaceful setting with excellent service. The prices are reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of food and atmosphere.
