KongBarNelGood Kaiseki experience of authentic high-end, sea food focused, Japanese cuisine. Portion sizes felt unbalanced and somewhat too large - by the time we got to the soba noodle main dish I was so full I couldn't finish it, not to mention dessert. Good (but somewhat cold) service, next to us was a loud group celebrating a birthday and the service seemed more focused on them. Hard to reserve, but reservations are far more obtainable for lunch seating.
KongBarNelEverything was absolutely delicious! The dishes were beautifully plated and full of flavor, fresh, balanced, and satisfying. The Eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked, the pancakes were light and flavorful, and the fruit bowl was incredibly fresh. The orange juice tasted freshly squeezed and was the perfect complement to brunch. Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy yet lively. A definite must-visit for brunch lovers!
KongBarNelAmazing food all around, would 10/10 recommend going for a milestone celebration like anniversary or a birthday dinner. Definitely opt in for their wine pairing option, you won’t regret it. They not only handpick their wines but also pair those superbly with their food. My favorites dishes were hands down their dessert - which was an avocado dallop of ice cream with an egg cream and tortilla chips followed by their thai lasagna and then their onion tart, in that order. I’m so glad I chose this place for my first Michelin Star restaurant experience!
