TheForkUserRestaurant is centrally located just off Largo do Toural. Staff were friendly and welcoming and some staff spoke English. Had a pizza and pasta and both were quite good. Nice restaurant with patio.
TheForkUserAmazing place! I don’t know how I missed this restaurant exploring Guimaraes :/ Food is fantastic - try the cheese with the souse as a starter and the octopus just first class. Also the service is perfect. Definitely great choice for every occasion!
TheForkUserA deserving Michelin Star restaurant. Amazing experience with great service and food. Staff was on top of every detail.
TheForkUserIt's difficult to describe the experience at Flower Eat because every element that makes it unique is integral to the whole. I can't talk about the fantastic service without mentioning the airy, pleasant atmosphere in which every dish is as delectable in taste as it is in appearance. The perpetually smiling Daniel, the way our shared dish had our names written out on the rim of the plate in bechamel sauce. The way drinks were presented with 'Flower Eat' stenciled with powdered sugar on dark slate serving plates....This is all banal in comparison to the real experience. So stop reading reviews and just go and you, too, will be delighted.
TheForkUserIt was my 3rd time having dinner in this space and is a 10/10. The space is beautiful and the room manager was super kind and professional. The food is really good and the price is fair. We plan to repeat!
TheForkUserFood was really good and the service too. Would definitely come back.
_TI***dmThe restaurant features a wide variety of traditional Portuguese dishes, all well-prepared and delicious. It's a great choice for those who appreciate high-quality regional cuisine.
_TI***juThe restaurant has a great atmosphere, located in the heart of the historic center of Guimarães. The food is delicious and feels homemade, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely dinner.
TheForkUserThank you very much for the two wonderful meals in your restaurant. We became aware of Norma through the Michelin guide. A first visit for lunch offered us aromatic, very fresh and imaginative dishes in a wonderful ambience. The flavors and ideas of the recipes and the concept of Norma inspired us.We were so impressed that we tried the large tasting menu again two days later. We were also impressed the second time. The menu was changed for us by the very flexible service and the kitchen, so that we were not served dishes that we had already eaten on our first visit. The service is also very attentive and we were looked after very well, as if we were good friends. Miguel Marques, head chef since March 2025, and his team are truly sensational in the way they play with the flavors, whether fish, meat or dessert. We wish you many guests who appreciate what very good cuisine means. A real treat! Susanne and Christian
TheForkUserVery nice terrace with nice music. We took 4 little plates to share, for two, it was exactly what we were looking for!
TheForkUserEasy like Sunday morning. One look at the menu and I realized that if half of what was promised was delivered, we were just fine. The hamburgers were great. Mine was a smash burger so I didn't expect it to be very juicy or anything, but it was packing flavour, the truffle sauce wasn't too overwhelming and bread was perfect for this kind of burger. Everyone else enjoyed their burgers as well. The assortment of fries options delivers quite well.We had a jar of passion fruit lemonade. Fresh, not too sweet, great value for money. The menu left me thinking I'd need to be back to try other burgers, the real thing made me sure of it. Staff is nice, effective and forthcoming.
TheForkUserA new restaurant tucked behind a shopping gallery. There were only 2 other customers during a Thursday dinner.Food is pan-iberian. We had very good patatas bravas and a flamed sausage as starters, and shared a paella which had quite a lot of liquid and not the socarrat we like. We got also a good tuna spread sandwich as a bonus. The waiter is sweet but shy with customers. Give this place a chance and try it yourself.
TheForkUserVery nice please well decorated and comfortable. Staff very kind and welcoming. The food was tasty and well presented.Long wine list.Very good prices for the quality.
TheForkUserWe had an amazing time! The service and the environment was excellent and really cozy. The food was delicious - positively surprising when it comes to the the amount of food served, super fulfilling and marvilous!Thank you for everything! Definitely an experience to repite.
TheForkUserWe went on a discovery, and it was an excellent surprise and a great experience. Amazing food, perfect ambiance, and excellent service. Without a doubt, to be repeated.
TheForkUserSmall local site 3km out of Guimarães city, offer a simple menu dishes (meat and fish).Their speciality is "Churrasqueira" seen the local sign has raffigure a chicken.Staff are unable to speak English, so was difficult having communication with them, abundant portion of food, but in my plate there was an exaggeration of onions.
_TI***ezThis place is perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends or family. The food quality is high, and the service is very good. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great dining experience.
TheForkUserWe came to this restaurant for the second time and once again our expectations were largely exceeded. The meals are really good and the service is super human, super attentive. we will continue to come back. The space is very beautiful and welcoming
TheForkUserGreat Portuguese food with large portions. The meat is grilled in the charcoal and was great. Also great codfish. Nothing fancy but a great service and place to taste good food at a good price.
TheForkUserNice place with súper service and quality Food.
TheForkUserThis restaurant we found on a whim. I recommend it for anyone visiting or living in the area. We were about a ten min drive away and decided to try it. The service was impeccable and the food was amazing. Everything we had was great. I thought the pizza was one of the best we have ever had. Also to make it better the cocktail list is awesome and the drinks are so good. To end the night we were trying to get home and we could not get an Uber. The staff called us a cab. Spoke to the driver so he knew where we were going. Just made the night that much better!!
TheForkUserOnce again we loved to have tapas at Taberna. The service was amazing as we are used to at Quinta da Corredoura (congrats to all the staff and chefs). The tapas are super good and we plan to repeat. The place was not noisy and super pleasant. We rate the experience a 10/10.
TheForkUserThe food is great! The chef is very friendly and open to costumer’s opinions/suggestions :)Next time I will try the cod fish.
TheForkUserExcellent dinner, we were a party of 4. I had the vegetarian stew it was delicious my husband had the ribs they were perfectly seasoned, my friends had seafood stew and cod. The Bell wine and Chardonnay it was all delicious.
TheForkUserLocation is perfect, by River Tâmega and near the monastery and bridge. The price is really good considering the quality of the food and service (for soup, garlic bread and main course and drinks, we paid around 25€ a person)
TheForkUserTha ambience is delightful, with an open front to the street with comfortable chairs. Inside is a rather romantic space with well separated tables. We were recommended to order a small plate each followed by a shared larger dish. Quality was excellent and the glasses of recommended wines unusual and well chosen. Followed by a shared desert. It was a pleasure, wuth knowledgeable cheerful service
