TheForkUserA wonderful pub restaurant. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and the staff were very sincere and helpful. It was definitely service with smiles. The food was excellent and hot! The sirloin steak was cooked as requested and is certainly recommended. The real ale was well kept and tasted superb. We will be back.Ed's Easy Diner

TheForkUserBeen to several places recently for lunch,non have been particularly good ,had a carvery last week in Ellesmere Port. I don't know how they had the nerve to serve it. I had been to the Toby Inn many years ago,and it was always excellent,so suggested we try it this week . It was absolutely marvellous. Could not fault it at all. We were a party of 17 but had confirmed attendance. We weren’t expecting to wait so long especially with kids in our group. The team did bring some cheeky taster sandwiches keep our munchkins from hanger. When it came… the afternoon tea was truly delicious. Went through the menu with me as I have a nut allergy.A hidden gem , lots of little private booths as well as a large open area. Outside wet garde which was clean and tidy.Food was excellent with a good variety and reasonably priced.Would definitely eat here again.
