Stopped by for a quick lunch. The happosai was packed with veggies and a total steal at 290 yen. Got it with a side of kushikatsu - crispy and went perfectly with a cold beer. Simple and hit the spot.

Busy spot above Ebisucho Station. Perfect for a quick lunch. Got the twice-cooked pork set. Thick cuts, good flavor, fills you up fast. Service was quick, in and out. Exactly what you need on a short break.

Been coming here for years. That katsu curry is just right, not too sweet, not too spicy. The double egg katsudon is my usual order. Simple menu, but they do it well. A bit of a wait sometimes, but it's worth it.

Been coming here for years, and the curry specials are always on point. That spice balance is consistently good, never too much or too little. It's why I keep coming back. Yeah, it gets busy, but that's part of the deal.

Owner speaks good English, so ordering was quick. Okonomiyaki was tasty and cooked just right.

The Showa-era vibe here is so calming. It's a nice break from the busy Shinsekai streets just outside. Felt like a little escape.

The half-portions for solo diners are a nice touch. Had a glass of wine and a smaller pasta dish, felt just right for a quiet evening. Didn't feel like I was overordering or overspending.

Had a quick lunch here before my next meeting. Ordered the set menu. Food came out fast, which was great. The portion was decent for the price. Didn't feel rushed at all.

Stopped by for the large zaru soba again. Noodles were firm, sauce was good as usual. A solid, reliable spot when you're near the station.

Staff was super friendly, helped me pick a vegetarian dish. The portion was generous for the price, I couldn't finish it all. Good value.

The green onion ramen was pretty good. The broth was light and the scallions were fresh and thinly sliced, adding a nice crunch. A decent portion, too.

I tried their breakfast set and really appreciated the fresh ingredients. The salad greens were crisp, and the poached eggs were just right. A nice, balanced start to the day.

Been stopping here for years on the way back from Yoshino. The big parking lot is always a relief after a long drive.

The Asuka Ruby parfait was a nice treat. Good portion of strawberries, decently creamy. A bit sweet for my taste, but a solid way to finish up.

The Yamagata beef here is so tender, just melts in your mouth. The marbling was really beautiful. I had a very comfortable seat by the window, which made the whole meal feel relaxing. A nice, quiet spot for a solo dinner.

The Asukaji set is good value. The nyumen soup had shrimp tempura and sesame tofu, broth was nicely balanced.

Imai Zen's set lunch is a solid deal. The tempura was freshly fried, nice and crisp. You get a good variety of sides with rice and soba too. For the price, the portion is quite generous.

Been coming here for years. The relaxed vibe is always the same, never too loud or rushed. It's why I keep coming back. Just a comfortable place to have a meal.

First time trying the legendary Mitsuya Rice. The demi-glace sauce really brings everything together.

The Nara Lunch set was perfect for trying a bit of everything. Loved the variety of local flavors in one go. Portion was just right for me!

Quick lunch spot. Staff was super friendly even when my Japanese wasn't great. Got the chicken katsu set, came out fast. Perfect for a quick bite between meetings.

This restaurant offers a fantastic atmosphere for special occasions, with generous portions and attentive service that make it a memorable experience.

Stopped by for lunch. The miso liver soup was a pleasant surprise, really tasty. Not something I'd usually order, but glad I did.

Came for the unaju on Ox Day. The eel was nicely grilled, not too sweet. Good portion with miso soup. The beef side was a bit small for the price, but it hit the spot.
