The sashimi was super fresh, and the simmered dishes had this delicate flavor. You can tell they really care about the little things here. A nice find in Awara.

The ingredients are exceptionally fresh, the menu offers a wide and satisfying variety, and the service is both warmly hospitable and impressively efficient.

The tablet ordering was a nice touch, made everything so easy. My lunch arrived in no time. The staff were friendly and the booth seating was quite comfortable for a solo diner. A very relaxed meal.

The yakitori was excellent, especially the chicken wings. The staff was very kind despite the language barrier. They noticed I was looking around and brought extra napkins without me asking. It made the meal feel comfortable and easy.

The lunch set is a nice deal. I went for the one with sushi, chawanmushi, and dessert. Everything tasted fresh. I did notice the rice portion was a bit small for me, but it was a comfortable, quiet meal.

The refined ambiance and attentive service at Barrier create an exceptional dining experience. Each dish is artfully presented, showcasing high-quality ingredients.

The menu changes regularly, showcasing seasonal ingredients, which keeps the dining experience fresh and exciting.

The restaurant offers a wonderful selection of fish and seafood dishes, each one truly excellent. It stands out as a highly recommended choice in Kanazawa.

The counter seating is so comfortable for a long meal. The chef was really friendly and made the three hours go by quickly.

Booked the tatami room for the family. It was really spacious and comfy, felt like we had our own little corner. Just the right vibe for a relaxed dinner.

The Noto beef was the highlight. Incredibly tender, with a rich, buttery flavor that just melts. The jibuni stew was also good, hearty and warming. Everything tasted very fresh.

The vibe really picks up later at night. Love the energy when the local crowd comes in after work. That stewed tripe? The broth was so rich and savory. Just a really fun, authentic izakaya feel.

The huge windows here are the best part. You get this full view of the park while you eat, feels really open and calm. The jazz music was a nice, quiet background touch too.

Came in for a quick bite. The fig and ham starter was really good. Sweet potato with that blue cheese sauce too. Everything just looks nice on the plate.

Mapo tofu, standard spice. It's got a kick, just enough to make you sweat a bit. The tofu itself is soft but doesn't fall apart. Good with a bowl of their fried rice, which is fluffy and not greasy.

Stopped in for lunch. The three-item platter was good, the pan-fried Spanish mackerel with tartar sauce stood out. Fish was cooked just right, crispy outside. A solid find for a casual meal.

Got a seat at the counter, which was cool. It's a small spot, feels just like a proper teppan izakaya back home. The vibe is lively and real. Just a bit cramped, but that's part of the charm.
