Been here a few times for a quiet drink. Their old fashioned is solid, always consistent. Staff remembers my usual, which is nice. A decent local spot.

Found this little spot off the main street. The bartender really knows his stuff—watched him make my old fashioned, and it was just right. Perfect for a quiet drink after a long day.

The welcome message on the serving board was a nice touch. The food was pretty good overall, though the seating was a bit tight. A decent meal.

The bartenders really know their stuff. I came in for a quick catch-up with a friend, and we ended up chatting with the staff for ages. It was such a chill vibe, perfect for a low-key hangout.

Selected for Bars in Kyoto

Love this spot for a casual hang with friends! The tablet ordering is super handy, no language stress. We shared a bunch of small plates, all felt really authentic. The vibe is just right for a chill night out.

Creative cocktails. Bartender really knows his stuff. Asked what I like, then made something just for me. Not too sweet, not too strong. Just right.

The owner is really friendly and professional. He took the time to explain the daily specials and made sure everything was just right. Service was on point without being overbearing.

The trivia night was so much fun! The owner was there, really friendly and chatting with everyone. It just felt like a cozy neighborhood spot. The craft beers were good, but honestly, the vibe is what I'll remember.

The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is very attentive. However, please be aware that the prices are somewhat high, so it's something to consider when planning your visit.

No. 11 of Bars in Nara City

A short walk from Fukushima Station. The chicken broth here has a gentle umami that really comes through. Tried the daikon and the soft-boiled egg—both soaked up the flavor nicely. Good spot for a quick, simple meal.

The magician who came to our table was a nice touch. It was a fun little surprise that made the evening feel a bit more special.

The sautéed chicken gizzard confit was a nice surprise. The seats were comfortable for a long, relaxed dinner.

Didn't expect a standing bar to be this cozy. The lighting was just right, and the counter was a nice spot to relax.

Been here a few times. The banana rum cocktail is solid, not too sweet. Bartender's friendly, remembers what you like. Good spot for a quiet drink after work.

First time trying a kaiseki place like this. The chef explained each course personally, which was a nice touch. The intimate vibe felt special, though the portions are definitely on the smaller side.

The hosts were so kind, they even gave us a little list of their favorite spots in Kyoto. That personal touch really made the evening.

Late night find in Kyoto! The owner was super friendly and the Japanese whisky selection is great for a casual drink with friends.

A real local spot in Kawaramachi. The owner's creative dishes feel like a high-end kaiseki, but in a tiny standing bar.

Kiku Special course with the all-you-can-drink option. The wagyu was tender, and the yuzu sherbet was a nice, refreshing finish. Good variety across the board.

The shisha is what keeps me coming back. The flavor lasts, the coals are managed well, and the smoke is consistently smooth. It's the main reason I choose this place over others in the area.

The staff here is so friendly and helpful. They took the time to ask what I liked and suggested a lovely wine I wouldn't have chosen myself. The atmosphere is very relaxed, which made the whole experience easy and enjoyable.

Been coming here for years. Their whisky selection is solid, but I keep ordering the yuzu highball. It's just the right balance, not too sweet. Simple and refreshing.

The happy hour here lasts a bit longer than at other Hub spots, which I really appreciate. The staff are always so friendly and polite. It's a very relaxed place to unwind.

Been around since 1923. Tried the famous doteyaki. The portion was generous for the price, definitely felt like a solid, filling meal. Good for when you just want something hearty without overthinking it.

A cozy spot for a glass of wine. The by-the-glass selection is good and prices felt fair. I appreciated the comfortable seating, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the evening. They also have a nice variety of cheeses available.
