Visited Durham for a super historical weekend. Didn&rsquo;t dream we would eat in such an amazing restaurant too. The food would grace any Michelin starred table. Great taste and presentation throughout the 7 course tasting menu. (We added another to the 6 😋) wines and service exceptional too.

There was a good atmosphere.  The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was great service and the food was lovely. Will definitely go back.

Staff were attentive and quick. The mushroom and halloumi pitta was good, sides of mash and spicy grains were solid. Service was efficient, which I appreciate during a working lunch. No fuss, got the job done.

Changes noticed this week (different to last week) - the Yorkshire puddings have improved; the size of the meat portion has reduced and the gravy was lumpy. Overall the meal was good despite the former comments. Regrettably, the ambience was spoiled by some very noisy children but the service and staff were courteous and polite.

Cosy spot with a fun 50s vibe. Menu&#39;s small but everything we tried was spot on. Perfect for a catch-up with mates - we lingered over the mains (from &pound;18) and never felt rushed. Service was just right, friendly but not in your face.

Good wine list, lots to choose from. We had the set menu and tried a different glass with each course. Pairing worked well, service was knowledgeable on the options. Solid choice if you want to explore some pairings.

Came in for a quick bite and ended up upstairs. It&#39;s a lot quieter up there, away from the main floor bustle. Good spot to just sit and have your coffee.

Large and cozy inside, with a covered terrace. Classic Wetherspoons food at those unbeatable prices.

Lee was so good with our little one. He kept her entertained while we ate, made the whole meal way less stressful. Really appreciated that.

The pork parmo was a generous portion, so I had leftovers for lunch the next day. I really appreciate that they use fresh, quality ingredients. The breading was crisp and the meat was tender. A solid choice if you&#39;re looking for something hearty.

The young male waiter could not have been more helpful and attentive - all of the staff were friendly and efficient and the meal was great. A wonderful evening for our party of nine - Thank you Toby - We shall be back soon

Been coming here for years. Love the old arcade games and pool tables - they&#39;ve always kept them in good shape. The local photos and stuff on the walls are a nice touch. It&#39;s just a solid, fun spot.

The staff were really on it. My dessert came out with the wrong topping, but they noticed before I even said anything and had it swapped out in a minute.

Nice big terrace for summer evenings. Food came out fast, tasted fresh. The aubergine rolls were good, but the feta inside was a bit too salty for me. Still, a solid spot.

Had Sunday roast. Good choice of meats, excellent portions.  Very tasty. Nice dessert menu too. Best to book as was quite busy

The fish pie is a solid choice. It&rsquo;s reliably good, with decent flavour. The portion was fine, though I&rsquo;d have liked a touch more sauce. A nice, comforting option.

Lovely spot with a really nice vibe. The decor is stylish but still feels warm and inviting. Even the loos were spotless, which is always a good sign.

Lamb madras and chicken naga shotkari. My usual order, never disappoints.

The space is perfect for a big group breakfast. We all had room to spread out and chat comfortably.

The puddings are fantastic. They had a lovely port on the menu that paired beautifully with the sticky toffee.

The waffles were lovely and the hot chocolate was just right. My granddaughter enjoyed the curly fries. It&#39;s a nice spot for a treat, and the booths were very comfortable for a relaxed visit.

Convenient spot right by the church and town centre. The beer garden out back is a real plus - spacious and pleasant when the weather&#39;s good. Makes for a straightforward, relaxed stop.

The roast potatoes were a new addition, and they were really good. Crispy on the outside, fluffy inside. The apple pie with custard for dessert finished things off nicely.

The hot shot parmo was spot on, especially the skin-on chunky chips.

Popped in for a pint with the lads. They let you bring your dog in, which is a nice touch. Good spot to just sit and unwind.

Wasn&#39;t expecting much, just popped in for a quick bite. Mentioned my nut allergy and the server actually went to check with the kitchen twice. Felt pretty relaxed for once.

Nice spot for a pint. The underground layout with the glass roof is a cool feature. Had their IPA, which was crisp and well-kept. Table was clean, no sticky residue. A solid choice for a quiet afternoon drink.
