Proper old school pub right in the centre of Knaresborough. Had the steak and ale pie here, the pastry was so flaky and rich. Just a solid, no-fuss meal that didn't break the bank. Exactly what you want from a place like this.

Lovely spot tucked away in a quiet village. The rustic vibe and a real fire going made it so cosy for a lazy lunch. Really enjoyed the slow pace here.

Been coming here for years, and the Louisiana Seafood Night is a regular for me. That Cajun seafood boil is always spot on – the spice is consistent, the shrimp are never overcooked. It's the one dish that keeps me coming back.

Came here for a drink on a summer evening. The food is made to a very high standard, had a lovely small plate. A nice, relaxed spot to unwind.

Solid Greek options on the menu, plus a few English classics. The vegetarian moussaka was the standout for me.

Been coming here for years, and the food's always been spot on. Even when they're packed, the kitchen doesn't miss a beat. That's why I keep coming back. Just remember to book ahead, it's the only way to guarantee a seat.

Despite being a bit out of the way, the views from The Wellington Inn are incredible. The service is impeccable, and the quality of food is consistently good, making it worth the journey.

Scrambled eggs were spot on, creamy and not overcooked. Had to step out for a quick call, and they kept my plate warm without me even asking. Nice touch.

First time trying this style. The server was really helpful - they put the skewers on the grill and took them off when ready. Made it so easy for us.

Thali's a steal at £12.99. The chicken was juicy, biryani portion huge. Got a drink and dessert too. Left feeling properly full.

Great spot for a catch-up! They had a really good selection of drinks, including some proper ales. Perfect for a chilled pint with friends.

The steak and ale pie was spot on, lovely flaky pastry and rich filling. Staff were quick and friendly, made us feel welcome. A good, reliable spot for a casual dinner.

The vegan chili was really fresh, you could tell it was made with good ingredients. It didn't feel like an afterthought. The rest of the menu looked good, but I was happy with my choice. Nice, simple spot.

Rooms are clean, warm, and well-stocked. Fine for a short city break. The minibar selection was surprisingly decent, had a nice local craft beer that hit the spot after a long day. Could use a couple more wine options by the glass though.

Tia’s cocktail class was a blast. She’s funny and really knows her stuff—made it super fun for everyone.

Popped in for a drink. The chocolate stout was rich and smooth, really hit the spot. The rum was good too. Prices felt fair for what you get.

Been coming here for years before catching my train. The cask ales are always spot on, never had a bad pint. Nice to have the footy on in the background too.

The full English was a solid portion, came out piping hot. Just what I needed on a cold morning. The bacon was especially good.

The tapas portions here are enormous, really good value. I found the food very tasty. The only thing is, the tables are quite close together, so it can feel a bit cramped when it's busy.

Martin and the team are always so welcoming. The food here is consistently good - I'm a big fan of their lamb dish, cooked just right. A cozy spot that feels like a proper treat.

Gets pretty loud in the main room, especially when it's full. We asked for a quieter spot and they found us a table in the corner. Much better for a proper chat. Still, you can definitely feel the buzz from the rest of the place.

Been coming here for years, and the beer selection is always spot on. Eight cask ales on, including a couple of porters last time. That glass-walled cellar upstairs is a nice touch. Just a solid, reliable pub.

Service was spot on. Our server kept our drinks topped up without being intrusive, and checked in just enough. Felt looked after but not hovered over.

The British blue burger was top-notch. Sat downstairs, and the atmosphere really paired well with a pint. Staff were lovely.

Been here for breakfast a few times. The full English is solid, good portion for the price. Gets you sorted for the day. Service is always quick and no-nonsense, which I like.

Been coming here for years. The staff are always so friendly and remember my usual order. It’s just a really nice, relaxed spot for a casual bite. That consistency is what keeps me coming back.

The poutine was really good, filling and authentic. But the best part was how comfortable the booths were - I could actually lean back and relax. Made the whole meal feel easy.

The bacon smash burger was so juicy, and the house sauces are a game changer. Perfect for grabbing with friends.
