TheForkUserWe thought the food was amazing, we were in Brantome the previous night in a Michelin starred restaurant, the food here is as good, if not better. The service was excellent, we'll be back for sure one day.
TheForkUserHighly recommended - Excellent greatly flavored food, lovely garden setting, good attentive service. Absolutely worth a detour!Un grand merci!
TheForkUserThis was the first time we had eaten there, and overall it was a very pleasing and a menu of good variety. The Ris de Veau was a little overcooked, and service was a little on the slow side, but a warm and welcoming service, and good consideration for clients choices. We will go again. Thank you
_TI***2hI was impressed by the quality of the food and the creativity in the dishes. It's a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy a refined dining experience.
TheForkUserThis restaurant was a great find. We booked a table of 10, due to unforeseen circumstances we were late. The manager was very friendly and still allowed us to place our orders. The food was lovely. We can highly recommend this restaurant.
TheForkUserWe booked a reservation for 7, and from the beginning till the end the service was impeccable! All our meals were fresh and delicious with really great portions. I'd definitely recommend it for a family outing or with friends, not much for a romantic dinner.
TheForkUserSimple, tasty, well-priced dinner with lovely service.
TheForkUserAnother winner! If you follow our reviews, you may wonder why we rate nearly every restaurant so highly. We know what kind of food we like and we vet each place before we make a reservation. Cuisine au Beurre was a great dining experience, from the special-request magret de canard to the outstanding wine recommendation by our host. Be sure to ask his advice when you have selected your food courses, he knows his cellar and can match it to your meal. The old-fashioned provincial atmosphere added to the charm of the dining experience, equaled only by our walk back to our hotel through the village streets of this quaint town.
TheForkUserThis place is great! Atmosphere fantastic and Alison and Sidney the hosts are really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. The food is wonderful, with some great twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. I give Le Calabash my highest recommendation and will be returning for another brilliant evening soon.
TheForkUserVery kind and professional staff, the food was exquisite and would recommend this restaurant for sure. The seating is private enough so you have all the space around you.
TheForkUserAfter a very slow start, 35 mins to take our drink and food order things improved. Perhaps the restaurant was busy and the Covid 19 limitations were making life difficult for the staff, however no one tried to communicate any reason for delays to us, no apologies. Had to walk up to the bar to ask for our order to be taken. Food and drink when it finally arrived was of a good quality.
TheForkUserOur favourite place to eat in the area. Always beautifully presented. We love the creative and seasonal menus. The cheese trolley is wonderful.See you again soon!
TheForkUserSpecial thanks to the staff. They were kind and very helpfull in many ways. Food was good. We will be back for certain.
TheForkUserSuperb Sunday lunch. We enjoyed dishes from the "Truffle menu" which were delicately flavoured and extremely well executed.
TheForkUserThe service and the food were outstanding.
