TheForkUserExcellent restaurant, with fantastic food. Huge selection of wines, all at very reasonable prices. There were downsides - there were no staff in the restaurant at our booked time, so we had a drink in the lively bar while waiting, and we were the only guests in the restaurant, so it was quiet. Both partly our own fault for booking at 8pm. Service was attentive and friendly, overall cost very reasonable. I would definitely return, but maybe book at 9pm or later.
TheForkUserI loved the fusion between the Mexican and Spanish cuisine. My dining partner and I chose the night short menu. Our favorite dishes were the artichokes, steak tartare, and the leek confit, The wines that I chose in consultation with our server complemented the dishes. They were 2 oz pours but for 4 Euros, the allowed me to try lots of wine at an affordable price. Definitely deserved a Michelin one star.
TheForkUserA new venture, this place pulls out all the stops. The waiter was knowledgeable and suggested improvements at just the right time. We enjoyed every dish, but the short rib and the duck with apples were very special.
TheForkUserSuper friendly family restaurant, excellent service, great selection of fresh seafood, great wine selection. A lovely dining experience.
TheForkUserWe chose a pasta dish and a pizza option. The pasta dish was a little greasy but very flavoursome and a large portion. The pizza was amazing. A lovely thin base with plenty of topping. It was an early Sunday evening and the restaurant was very quiet which is why I didn't understand why they sat us opposite the till and the toilets?
_TI***l8The ambiance of this restaurant is cozy and tranquil, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing meal. The wine selection is impressive, and the food is top-notch.
_TI***dhThe restaurant in the hotel provides a good dining experience with a variety of options. The quality of the food is commendable, and the service is generally friendly.
TheForkUserWe visited this restaurant earlier evening so it was quiet. The welcome was friendly and after a drink we were shown to our table in the very cute dining room. The man who waited on us was very friendly and helpful assisting us with the menu.. The food was very well presented and cooked perfectly and very tasty. We had a very positive experience here and would recommend.
TheForkUserI've been fortunate to dine at many Michelin-starred restaurants around the world—Venta Moncalvillo stands out. From the moment you arrive, the hospitality is warm and genuine. The pace is unhurried, allowing you to fully enjoy each moment. The cuisine is outstanding, the service impeccable without feeling formal, and the setting unforgettable.
TheForkUserExcellent food, helpful staff, ambience slightly in the theme park direction.
TheForkUserAmazing place. You can feel the pride of 3 generations running the restaurant, with little to no changes. Food was very good. Artichokes and prawns were amazing. The lamp chops were tasty, but not very meaty.
_TI***1mThe restaurant is located within the iconic Marqués de Riscal hotel, and the architecture alone is worth the visit. The food was superb, making it a highly recommended dining destination.
_TI***ddI had the pleasure of trying the tasting menu, and it was absolutely exquisite! Each dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor, making it a memorable culinary experience.
TheForkUserNot great quality food and bad preparation. The best was the service and the views.
TheForkUserThere was a time lag between the plates that it was a little bit disappointing. The waiter has forgotten half of the wine in the bottle and we drunk the wine after finishing our lunch.
TheForkUserMy wife and I had the prefixe menuThe food was just outstanding. The service however was perfunctory. The value was exceptional.
TheForkUserThis was fantastic. Even better than we expected. This is a family run place that is very popular with locals. They serve tasty home-cooked meals at a very good price. We paid €16 for soup or salad, steak or roast chicken with french fries, wine, dessert, coffee, and bottled water. It is simple, home-cooked food. That’s very tasty. We thought the bean soup in particular was wonderful.- lubiana.. they have many tables, but by 2 o’clock they were nearly full. Suggest that you reserve a table.
TheForkUserLovely dinner and convenient location.Lovely menu of regional and typical Spanish cuisine, cooked really well , Lovely couple of Sefardies inspire dishes too to put a additional interesting note to the menu. I tried an stuffed aubergine Sefardies inspire dishes and a baby lamb chops with potatoes and red peppers, really, really nice food and the vegetables to die for!!! I will recommended a visit.
TheForkUserA very nice journey in Euskadi gastronomy. Good reading of products and precision of tastes. For 6 degustation menus it could have been of advantage to propose a glass of local wine well suited with each plate, instead of a basic choice between one red or white bottle of wine. If joining with electric car, ask the front desk to switch on the car chargers first!
