TheForkUserWe were late to arrive because someone was sick. They were so accomodating keeping the kitchen open on a Monday. Then....the food was so great. From the Fresh Bread to delicious Fish Soup to amzing Fish entree, it seemed they could do no wrong. Do not - miss this restaurant. It was a Highlight of our Trip.
TheForkUserAmazing local restaurant, simple food done well. My husband had spaghetti bolognaise and I had seafood spaghetti, both excellent.
_TI***nwThe service here is exceptional, with attentive staff who go above and beyond to ensure a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend!
TheForkUserHad read good things about this place and was not disappointed. I chose to have garlic bread which arrived in a paper bag - warm and tasty. The scabbard and passion fruit sauce was delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. This is a very well run establishment. It's essential that you book especially if you wish to dine al fresco.
TheForkUserWe've been dining at Dona Amelia for several years and it has never disappointed. The food and service are at a very high standard and the prices very reasonable.
TheForkUserI booked the restaurant because it was recommended in my guide and I am glad I did. Despite being busy, the service was very quick, and they even offered us a little Thai soup when our samosas took longer than expected. The food smelled and tasted absolutely delicious. Highly recommend but make sure you book a table as it was full.
TheForkUserThe food and staff were amazing, as always. However some of the customers let them down, there was a child on the table next to us, around 2 years old with a phone on watching something on full volume and a woman opposite us on a FaceTime call for the whole duration. If you’re going to bring your kids with a phone or tablet, please provide them with headphones, if you want to make a FaceTime call, wait until you get home or go outside!! These people have no regard for the other customers.
TheForkUserI booked this bistro based on the reviews and what a delight! We shared the shrimp, which was recommended, for starters, followed by the fish of the day - tuna and cod with onions, a tomato rice (very yummy) and salad as sides. Everything was very tasty, amazing! Staff very friendly and spoke great English.
TheForkUserVery pleasant experience. The food was first class and the staff were most attentive but more importantly pleasant and fun. Thank you all. I will return soon ????
TheForkUserRather quiet on a Thursday night but superb food. Squid as a starter was lightly cooked and very tasty, garlic prawns were very garlicky. We all had “steak on a stone” for main course. The fillet was very tender and tasty. Choc mousse and flambée bananas rounded off a superb dinner. Ambience was calm and quiet but we loved it.
TheForkUserWonderful small restaurant. Waitstaff were knowledgeable and very personable. The food had a richness and intensity of flavours. Great choice if you are looking for an alternative to traditional Portuguese.
TheForkUserGreat place. Food quality 👌 tasty authentic friendly waiters nice atmosphere. We would definitely recommend and hopefully return. 👍
TheForkUserGreat food with local tastes, warm welcome from all the staff. We had a great lunch, thank you all.See you soon Joe Vieira
TheForkUserFirst visit. Food was very tasty - espetada and lamb chops. Very good portions and good quality. House red was good for 10€.
TheForkUserHave walked past the restaurant many times during our visits , it was just suprisingly good and so close to the Palms .Pricing represented excellent value for money.
TheForkUserWe had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The service was excellent, and there is a very kind and friendly gentleman who made us feel at home. We tried the shrimp and leek risotto, and it was absolutely incredible—flavorful and perfectly prepared. Highly recommended!
