Had a great time as a solo diner. There eas a big football (soccer for the US readers) match being shown and so many folks came out to enjoy it. This also afforded me the ability to see a wide variety of their dishes being served. I ordered the pasta with parmesan cream, guanciale and crispy fried zucchini, a salad and a tiramisu. All were delicious and filling. The one guy acting as host, waitperson, server and busser was so impressive.

We accidentally found this place and really enjoyed it. It had a non-tourist feel about it. The waiters/ waitresses swapped from Italian to English very quickly and were very patient. Food tasty and really reasonable in price!

Excellent food experience in the centre of Bologna. Good choice for wine tasting as well - they have plenty to select. Air conditioning was a big bonus!

When I read in an article that This is Where chefs come to eat, I knewI had to go. I have had little restaurants in London, and Minneapolis.  Worked with an Italian chef in San Francisco.  Was delighted to see all women staff!!!  The daily specials were delightful

The food was creative, inventive, exceptionally and beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The eggplant and smoked parmesan appetizer is a must as is their Via Emilia -- gnocchi frito and culaccia as never before experienced. Please leave room for their zuppa inglese as it is superb. My husband and our friend are car enthusiasts and absolutely loved the ambience and the nod to the Motor Valley. I loved the contemporary feel and appreciated the small touches -- flowers in Modena&#39;s colors of blue and yellow, their personalized placemats and dishes -- and the graciousness of the host and server. We live a mile away from Trattoria Urbana and this will become our go-to restaurant.
