Came here for the fish and chips—batter was properly crispy, not greasy, and the chips were actual chunky ones. Reminded me of a decent pub back home. Place was pretty relaxed, easy to just sit there with a pint after. Only thing is the tartare sauce ran out quick, had to ask for more. Fine for what it is though.

The staff spoke English without any hassle, which I appreciated. Mussels were fresh and the price felt fair for the portion. Place looks nicer inside than from the street.

Stopped by for a quick lunch near Place Luxembourg. Burger was solid, decent flavor, but honestly a bit small for the price. Terrace seating is the main draw if you can get a spot. Service was efficient, no complaints there. Fine for a casual bite, just don't expect a bargain.

A wonderful neighborhood restaurant with welcoming stuff in the heart of Sablon. The food was excellent. However the one that steels your heart is the desert. The ananas carpaccio with passion fruit sauce and mascarpone ice cream was delicious but the creme brûlée with tonka was probably one of the best deserts I have ever tried! A masterpiece !!!

The pistolet with américain was spot on—fresh bread, decent amount of filling. Staff were friendly too. Solid spot for a quick lunch.

The Greek cheese salad really hit the spot — I grabbed it on my last day before vacation and it felt like the perfect send-off. Simple ingredients, but the feta was creamy and the olives added just enough salt. Nothing fancy, but honestly that's what I needed. Maybe a bit pricey for what it is, but no regrets.

Lovely terrace, loads of sun. Had a Belgian beer and just watched the street for a while. Perfect spot to do nothing. Service was fine, nothing special. Maybe a bit pricey for what it is, but the vibe makes up for it.

The truffle pasta was so good, honestly the highlight of my plate. We grabbed a table with friends and it was perfect for a chill catch-up. Zabaglione was a nice sweet ending too.

Stopped by for a beer on a quiet afternoon. Prices are fair for the location, right in the center. Place has a relaxed feel, not too crowded. Decent spot if you're nearby and want a quick drink without the tourist fuss. Service was fine, nothing to complain about.

Decent lunch spot. Two courses for a fair price, food was solid and the staff friendly enough. Nothing fancy but it did the job for a quick bite. Maybe not somewhere I'd go out of my way for, but fine if you're in the area.

Stopped by for a drink after walking around the square—classic spot, no fuss. Beer list is solid, plenty of local options. Interior’s got that old Brussels charm, wooden tables, warm lighting. Service lagged a bit once it filled up, but I wasn’t in a rush. Would come back for a quiet afternoon pint. 🍺

Stopped in for a coffee and grabbed a little chocolate thing too. Place has a relaxed feel, which I liked. Only thing is the stairs are a bit uneven, so just watch your step. Fine for a quick stop if you're in the area.

Grabbed a quick lunch here today. Menu's straightforward, nothing fancy, but the price is right. Service was fast, which is all I really need on my break. Food came out hot and did the job. Solid spot if you're in the area and don't want to overthink lunch. Maybe not a destination place, but fine for a weekday stop.

The service was friendly and professional, even when the place was crowded, which made for a pleasant experience.

No. 1 of Bars in Brussels

Stopped by for lunch and grabbed the tagliatelle. Fresh pasta, cooked just right, not too soft. Staff knew their beers too, gave me a solid recommendation that paired well. Place was busier than I expected for a weekday. Only downside, service got a bit slow after the rush. Still, decent spot if you're in the area.

The mussels in cream were spot on, really fresh and the sauce had a good depth. Service was quick, no complaints there. Sat outside, just watching the city do its thing. Nice spot for a relaxed lunch. Maybe a bit pricey for what you get, but I'd come back.

Nice terrace right by the opera, perfect for people-watching. Coffee was solid and the staff didn't rush us. Chairs could be more comfy though, got a bit stiff after an hour.

The 3-course set menu felt like a good deal for what you get. I especially liked the chocolate mousse — not too sweet, just right. Fiona checked in on us without hovering, which I appreciated. Only thing is the place got a bit loud by the end, but that didn't take away from the food.

The chef came out to talk about his inspiration for the dishes — that was a nice touch. The perfect egg really stood out, super creative and tasty.

Came here on a whim, no reservation. Pizza was solid, thin crust with a good char. Toppings tasted fresh, not overloaded. Service was friendly enough, nothing fancy. Just a heads up, it's cash only. There's an ATM right around the corner, so not a big deal. Would go back if I'm in the area.

Real Italian pizza, no doubt about it. The calzone was massive and properly filling. My usual spot whenever I'm craving pizza in Brussels.

Service was quick and friendly, no complaints there. Pizza was just okay though, nothing special. I did appreciate that they cut the takeaway for me, that was a thoughtful touch. Probably wouldn't go out of my way for the food again, but if you're in the area and want something easy, it's fine.

Stumbled in without expectations. Food arrived fast, even though the place was packed. Staff handled the rush without missing a beat. Had the grilled chicken—decent portion, well-seasoned. Nothing fancy, but it hit the spot. Wouldn't go out of my way, but if you're nearby and hungry, it's a solid option.

Service was a bit slow when it got busy, but the staff stayed friendly. Just wish they'd check in more often.

The grilled cheese with marmalade was really good, and the lamb was tender too. Portions were decent for the price. Service was friendly, though it did get a bit busy.

Stopped by for a late afternoon coffee — the flat white was solid, and I liked that the bookshop next door makes it easy to kill an hour browsing. Prices though, a bit steep for what you get. My glass of red was decent but small for the tag. Nice spot if you're not hungry and just want a quiet drink.

Tucked above the bio shop, this place has a real cozy vibe. Solid wine list to pair with the inventive plates. Bit pricey, but the meal stayed with me.

Stopped in for lunch and ordered the pork with lentils. Portion was decent for the price, not huge but fair. The artichoke starter was good too, goat cheese worked well with it. Place has that rustic family-run vibe, nothing fancy. I left full enough, so no complaints. Maybe a bit quiet for my taste, but fine for a chill meal.
