Helen was our server again and she remembered my usual order! It&rsquo;s that kind of personal touch that makes a difference. She&rsquo;s so friendly and on top of things.

A lovely covered garden out back, really spacious with comfy seats. It was drizzling but we stayed perfectly dry, such a nice spot. The avocado and smoked salmon breakfast was good, but honestly, I&#39;d go back just for that garden.

Lovely little place with a proper fireplace - so cosy on a chilly evening. We grabbed a couple of pork pies and cheese &amp; onion cobs to share with drinks. Simple, tasty, and just right for a casual catch-up with mates.

Had the vegan lasagne and &#39;steak&#39; upstairs. Solid flavours, portions were decent. The live music from downstairs was a bit loud, but our waitress noticed and offered to close the door. Good service touch.

Sunday buffet was a hit! The chilli, garlic mushrooms and Gurkha lamb were my top picks. Everything stayed hot and fresh, which is always a plus. Really enjoyed trying a bit of everything.

The Christmas music and decorations were nice, but the real star was the beef and ale pie. The pastry was flaky and the filling was rich and hearty, exactly what you want on a cold day. Could have used a few more chunks of beef, but the flavour was spot on.

Food was really good. Xavier came over to check on us, which was a nice touch. The whole vibe felt relaxed, just what we needed for a casual dinner out.

It is a local pub and we visited on Thursday night. Chef Ben was welcoming and friendly, happy to explain and advise. We tried dishes of the day, I had spinach and ricotta cannelloni, and my friend had ham and mushroom tagliatelle, really tasty, fresh pasta, nicely presented, good size portions. Finished with apple pie, again, beautiful presentation and lovely flavour.  Will definitely return.

Such a lovely spot to bring the dog! The staff were genuinely friendly and made us feel right at home. My spaniel got plenty of pats and a water bowl. Just a really nice, relaxed vibe for a casual pint.
