The lemon chicken was solid—tender, well-seasoned, not dry. Service was friendly enough, and they handed us a small chocolate at the end, which was a nice touch. Place could use a bit more character in the decor, but for a quick dinner it worked fine.

The ribeye on Friday was a solid deal at 20 CHF, cooked just right. Good spot to grab dinner with friends before heading out.

The grilled skewers brought to the table were a nice touch. Buffet stayed well-stocked even during the rush, and staff were friendly. Pretty solid spot.

The khachapuri was solid, and the deruny with truffle sauce hit the spot. Grilled veggies came out right. Didn't care much about the service, but the food did the talking.

The pad thai and curries were really flavorful, and I liked that they do homemade ice cream too. Just wish the seating was a bit more comfortable, but overall a solid meal.

Short menu - which for us is good - and great food. We both had fish which was perfectly cooked and presented. As others have noted, wines are a bit expensive but good, we really enjoyed our Pinot Gris. Great service, friendly and helpful re a dietary restriction. I heard the staff speaking at least 3 languages (French, German & English). Open on a Sunday evening when many others were closed. Would definitely recommend.

The owner actually came over and walked us through the menu, which was nice. Food was fresh and cooked properly. Pretty relaxed spot for a casual dinner.

The chicken biryani here reminded me of home—fragrant, spicy, and so rich. Chettinad curry was solid too. Didn’t expect to find this in Basel, honestly.

Came with coworkers for lunch and honestly the buffet spread surprised me. Plenty of meat choices but also decent vegan stuff, so nobody struggled to find something. Portions are generous for the price, which matters when you're feeding a group. The space is bright and open, coffee cart in the corner is a plus. Solid pick if you're nearby and hungry.

Came by right at opening on a Friday and it got packed fast. Good to book ahead if you're coming later.

Been coming here for years. The salmon sashimi is always fresh. The mixed platter is good, you get a bit of everything including those charcoal-grilled skewers. A solid spot, especially if you're near the station.

Stopped by for lunch on a weekday. Schnitzel was solid, properly breaded and not greasy. Portion size fair for the price. Service efficient without hovering. Terrace was calm, no traffic noise. Renovation looks fresh, tables spaced well. Good spot if you're in the area and want reliable German food. Would come back when nearby.

The jungle-themed decor really sets the mood—so cozy. Green curry was solid and portions generous. Service polite, though it got a bit crowded. Booking ahead is smart.

The terrace view of the Rhine is really something. We had the Ayurvedic lunch and it tasted fresh, though the seating felt a bit cramped.

The hummus and falafel were really good, and the owner made us feel welcome. Just a heads up, it’s tiny so you need to book ahead.

Stopped by for a quick bite around noon. Got the brunch plate, decent portion for the price. Place was busy but they got me in and out fast enough. Staff didn't rush me though, which was nice. High chairs available if you've got little ones. Modern look inside, nothing fancy but comfortable. Solid spot if you're short on time.

Steak tartare and entrecôte were solid. Café de Paris sauce did the job. Service friendly but a bit slow. Decent spot if you're nearby.

The sea bream was the highlight—fresh, well-seasoned, decent size portion. Place was busy but service kept up fine. Solid choice if you're in the area.

The cordon bleu was properly done — crispy outside, still juicy inside. Vitello tonnato was tender too. Staff were nice, and the room has this old-school charm that I liked. Just wish the tables weren't packed so close together, felt a bit tight. But yeah, solid spot.

Loved the pistachio croissant — flaky and not too sweet. Coffee was strong, just how I like it. Cozy spot, though it got a bit busy around noon.

Came in late and tired, they still reopened the kitchen for us. Owner was really kind and the food came out fresh and plentiful. Solid spot near the Novotel.

The beef empanada had a great crispy edge and plenty of filling. Paired it with a Malbec, worked nicely. Solid spot for a quick bite.

We came here on a cold evening and the fondue hit the spot. Big basket of bread with it, plenty for two. Place has that old-school feel, nothing fancy, just solid. Service was fine, checked on us a few times. Only thing is it gets a bit loud when full, but that's part of the charm I guess.

Stopped by for a late afternoon coffee and ended up staying for pizza. The crust was properly chewy, not too thick. Ingredients tasted fresh, especially the tomato sauce. Staff smiled the whole time, which made the place feel welcoming. A bit pricey for what you get, but I left satisfied.

The roast duck was crispy as always, and the mapo tofu still hits the spot. Place is a bit tucked away, but that's part of the charm for me.

Had our Christmas dinner here. Food was solid, service quick even though it was packed. Sarah took good care of us. Rustic spot, no complaints. 👍

Drinks were solid and the staff pointed me to something I ended up liking. Weekend crowd gets loud, but it's a decent spot to hang out.

Stopped by after checking Google reviews. Got the false snails in that rich sauce—pretty solid, you can tell it’s homemade. Quick service, no fuss. Place was a bit cramped but fine for a fast bite. Would grab it again if I’m in the area.
