Cozy little spot with a few tables and a counter. Feels like a casual French bistro, good for a relaxed dinner.

This cafe is in a lovely old Japanese house. The tatami room overlooking the courtyard is so peaceful. I had a simple matcha and a dorayaki there—it was just right for a quiet afternoon. The wooden tables are unique. A nice spot to slow down.

The Hida beef steak. That's the one. It just melts, no effort at all. Some of the best beef I've had.

Loved the cozy vibe in this old thatched-roof place. The elderly couple running it are so sweet. Had their signature curry - the warmth from the spices was just right on a chilly day. Felt like visiting a kind aunt's kitchen.

The premium nigiri set was so good! The rice seasoning really made the fish shine. Perfect for a casual dinner with friends.

A solid neighborhood spot. The curry is always exactly what I expect - warm and comforting. Perfect for catching up with a friend when you just want something familiar and easy.

The view from the top floor is the main reason I go. You can see Kanazawa Station perfectly from the window seats. It's a nice spot to unwind after work.

The matcha tea and gold-leaf desserts, such as the parfait and kuzukiri, are truly exquisite and presented with beautiful artistry.

Stumbled in near the station when my usual spots were packed. The skewers were solid, especially with a cold beer. The fried lotus root was a nice touch. A bit cramped, but it hit the spot after a long day.

The katsu curry here is the main thing. The pork cutlet is crispy on the outside, stays juicy inside. The curry sauce has a deep, savory flavor, not too sweet. Good portion for the price. A solid, no-fuss meal.

The owner cooks each dish to order right in front of you. The tonkatsu was perfectly crispy, not greasy at all. The miso soup had a deep, savory flavor. That personal touch makes a difference.

The paella portion was huge, I couldn't finish it all. Took the rest home. The rice had a nice crust at the bottom, and the seafood was cooked just right.

Loved the cozy vibe here! Came with friends and the oden broth was so mild and comforting. The owner was super friendly too, which made our little catch-up feel even nicer. Perfect spot for a relaxed chat.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is very relaxing, making it a great place to unwind. The fruit platter was generous and delicious, and the staff were exceptionally friendly.

The Jibu-ni duck stew was the highlight for me. Deep, comforting flavor, served on a beautiful Kutani ware plate. You can tell they care about the details. Service was thoughtful without being overbearing. A really nice spot for a quiet meal.

The food was spot on, especially the grilled mackerel. But the sake list felt a bit steep for what you get. Ordered one carafe and that was enough for me.

The tonkotsu-shoyu ramen was just what I needed on a rainy day. The pork was so tender. The booth seats were really comfortable, which made the whole meal feel very relaxing.

The sake selection was nice, and the casual atmosphere made it easy to relax.

Shogyotei is a gem in Kanazawa, offering a fantastic Kaiseki experience. Each course was unique and flavorful, making it a memorable dining occasion. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy traditional Japanese cuisine.

Came in pretty late, but the staff was so chill and attentive. They didn't rush us at all, just made sure we had everything. Felt like hanging out at a friend's place. Really nice vibe to end the night.

The soy sauce broth was light, and the noodles had a nice chew. I got extra veggies, which made it feel a bit more wholesome for a solo lunch.

Been coming here for years since it's so close to the station. The marinated beef is always tender and tasty. Prices are fair, though the place gets packed early.

The Bib Gourmand recognition is well-deserved. Their wine list had some interesting local pairings that complemented the food nicely.

The fried pig's brain and onion had a texture I wasn't expecting, almost like creamy cod roe. The aroma was really pleasant. Honestly, it was surprisingly good!

The sushi here is solid, especially for the price. The chef's friendly even though he only speaks Japanese. I liked the tuna and the salmon was fresh. Good spot for a quick lunch.

The sardine pizza was a nice surprise. Thin crust, fresh sardines, not fishy at all. The avocado shrimp tartar was good too, creamy and light. A solid modern take on izakaya classics.
