However the manager of this is a bit greedy, think that he is alone on the marketplace and not very flexible when you suggest something. The quality of the food doesn't deserve such attitude, sorry it's very French and I am french too. No possibility to provide tip with a credit card.

TheForkUserMy favourite restaurant did it again last night! The food was superb. The pork dish was absolutely delicious. The meat really met the 'melt in your mouth' standard. My son had a terrine and said it was the best meal he'd had in a long time. Bravo Café de Peney!!

The outside patio is quite nice but it faces the west and the majority of the tables are in direct sunlight so you either need to arrive early to get a shaded table or arrive near sunset to fully enjoy outside seating. Staff is friendly and warm and will be happy to let you go at your own pace.

TheForkUserI visited here recently for lunch and it was just a wonderful experience. I received a very warm welcome from the nicest lady who showed me to my seat and then explained the menu. The restaurant is a beautiful elegant fit-out. I ordered Paris première caviar on the advice of my serveuse and for mains I ordered Risotto with truffe. It was my first time tasting caviar and it was just so delicious and I could definitely get used to eating it regularly 😉The risotto was just perfect- perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, perfectly delicious 😋 I didn't order a dessert because I had water sports planned but definitely the next time. I was brought out a canelé which I normally don't like but this was soooooo good, moist and delicious. There was a perfect balance here between the food and the service - food was super and just so simple and the service was so friendly, warm and efficient. Also the price here is extremely good (especially for Geneva) Strongly recommend here.

TheForkUserAs a returning client, I was expecting an experience which no longer seems to exist. The current methodology of proposing a pompus “surprise” menu is just a means for the restaurant to serve you economically and to their own convenience, using an opaque pricing model where you have no idea what you are getting for your money. The dishes were small and lacked any kind of personality and the “meat dish” on the verge of an insult. This was a restaurant we used to really enjoy, but unfortunately won’t be returning to. Shame.
