TheForkUserEverything was perfect-from the service to the ambiance and mostly the food. Probably the best Tom Yum soup I have ever had. The dishes were large and the flavours were complex a d delicious. If you are in Nijmegen, you have to eat here.

TheForkUserWe had expected a rowdy atmosphere at king's day, but the restaurant was nice and not loud at all 😀. The service was friendly and enthused, and the food original and tasty. Portions were exactly right and less expensive than you would expect for the quality. So all in all a very positive surprise!

TheForkUserThe setting is atmospheric and historic. The staff was welcoming. We arrived early for our reservation and were easily seated. The meal was of good quality, the bread basket was generous, both meat and fish dishes were delicious. The restaurant was festively decorated for the Christmas holiday.

TheForkUserWe ordered a 4-course "surprise" vegetarian menu. The courses were not surprising at all, they were simply the vegetarian options that were on the menu. What a disappointment. The first course was beet carpaccio covered in oil that tasted like smoked salmon. My partner doesn't like beets, but that wasn't the kitchen's fault. When the server asked us why we hadn't eaten the starter, my partner said that he didin't like beets. Then the next course came: one tiny overcooked (store-bought?) gyoza with - yep, you guessed it - the same beet puree with "smoked salmon flavor" that was on the previous plate. What a shame. The server should not have allowed the kitchen to put the beet puree on our plates after we had indicated that it wasn't to our liking. The truffle risotto that came after that was a welcome change, but it was nothing special and the combination of dishes didn't make any sense. It was clear that this kitchen is not at all at home in vegetarian cooking. The couple sitting next to us said that their food (not veggie) was okay, but the portions were so tiny that they were still hungry and the food took far too long to arrive. The servers were polite and did their best, but we will not be back.

TheForkUserPleasant grand cafe / brasserie style restaurant with good food and friendly staff. The only recommendation/advice for this restaurant would be to think about the layout of the restaurant as it is not logically laid out, few 'corners' have been created for guests.

TheForkUserAn inconspicuous quiet restaurant in Nijmegen. A little fiddly to park as there is no dedicated parking lot with the restaurant. We went for our 20 years wedding anniversary and ordered 4 course dinner with accompanying wine for me. The front part of the restaurant is quiet and classy. We were sat at bay window against the street. It is quite chilly due to single glazed windows and the the heater is not on yet. The service is excellent. The waiters are very frendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes. The wine suited the taste of every dish. We had a very enjoyable evening.

TheForkUserWe enjoyed our evening at this local restaurant on a great corner spot about 10 mins walk from our hotel in the opposite direction to the city centre. Prices were very reasonable and the food was well cooked and nicely presented. Wine and beer were both top notch and for many this is a place for a quality drink rather than a meal. Service was friendly and helpful. No ability to pay with Visa or Mastercard was the main black mark (10 mins walk to an ATM) however we enjoyed our meal and evening overall.

TheForkUserWe sat outside. in a nice setting. The food, the service and the overall atmosphere were great. The only item that I would like to note is the smell of the restaurant indoors. There is a strong suage smell there. This needs to be fixed urgently.

Even though is not the habitual time for dinner for the Dutch people, we received a very nice service and meal. We ordered a salad and Kebapcici as main course. Great wine list wit the possibility to paire your disch to the wine. We choose for the Coquille and the Monkfish as main course. Our wines were saint Veran white and Santenay for the red both gorgeous. What a great experience
