Sam the owner really took care of us. He walked us through the menu and handled my friend's food allergy without any fuss. That kind of personal attention is hard to find.

The seared ahi was a solid gluten-free choice. It was prepared well and I liked that the menu clearly marked those options. The service was decent, though a bit slow at the end.

The Old Fashioned here is the real deal. They use a rye that has a nice spicy kick, and the orange peel is expressed perfectly. It's not overly sweet like some places make it. That's what I come for.

The cocktails at Bar Leather Apron are nothing short of masterpieces. Each drink is crafted with precision and creativity, making it a unique experience for cocktail enthusiasts.

No. 1 of Bars in Honolulu

The in-house lasagna portion is huge, worth the price. Had to box most of it. Their house red was a solid, unpretentious pairing for the rich layers.

The breakfast burrito is solid. Eggs are fluffy, bacon crisp, sausage patty has a decent spice. Hash browns inside could be crispier, but for the price it's a reliable bite. Gets the job done.

The chicken spring rolls and halo halo dessert were so good. Perfect for a group brunch, and the semi-private area was a nice touch.

Stopped by for happy hour after work. The potstickers and poke tacos were solid for sharing with a beer. Live music was a nice touch, made the place feel lively. Good spot to unwind.

The sushi is made fresh to order, which I really appreciate. You can see the quality of the fish right away. Took mine to the park for a quiet lunch. The miso soup was good, but I wish there were more veggie options to go with it.

Came for the lunch special. Got the chirashi bowl and a tofu salad. Solid portions for the price. Place was packed though, so maybe book ahead if you're on a tight schedule.

Hard to find, up on the third floor. But the uni pasta was worth it. The sauce was creamy and rich, really let the sea urchin flavor come through. Pasta itself was cooked just right, not too soft. Could've used a touch more uni for the price, but the taste was spot on.

Parking's a little tight in their lot, but it's so nice having dedicated spots downtown. The bright, welcoming vibe is perfect for catching up with friends.

The hamachi was fresh and nicely presented. The thick cut gave it a good texture. A solid choice, though the portion felt a bit small for the price.

Found this little spot tucked away near Chinatown. The inside is super cute, and their craft cocktails are really good. Stopped by on a Tuesday and it was just the right kind of quiet, mostly regulars hanging out.

Loved watching the chefs work in the open kitchen. It was a real show, especially when they were searing the scallops. Made the whole dinner feel more lively.

Simple counter for takeout, perfect for a quick bite. The steak plate is solid. Gets the job done.

The island decor is so fun, really feels like you're on vacation. Staff was super friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience really pleasant. Food came out fast, too.

The prix fixe menu is a solid deal for trying a bunch of things. The lentil soup was warm, and the shared appetizer platter was huge, more than enough for two. The hand-washing and orange blossom water at the end were nice touches. Good value for the price.

Love their salads, always fresh. Staff's friendly too. They don't hand out bags unless you ask, and use paper straws. Just a solid, simple spot.

The street parking is a pain, but I'd walk a mile for that dry-aged ribeye. The crust was incredible, and the fat just melted. A bit on the pricier side, but the flavor is all there.

The cauliflower crust is a solid option if you're avoiding gluten. It held up well under the generous toppings. The space itself is bright and airy, with these big windows that let in a ton of natural light.

Been coming here for years, and the service is always on point. Our server tonight was quick, remembered our usual drink order, and just kept things moving smoothly. That kind of consistency is why I keep coming back.

Tried the prix fixe menu, which was a solid way to try a few things. The space itself is what got me—really liked the warm lighting and the comfortable booths. Made for a relaxed dinner.

Service was quick even when they were packed. The staff really knows their wine list, which made picking a pairing easy.

The staff here are so kind. Uri, Bev, and Tony were all very attentive. I appreciate the care they put into preparing the orders—you can tell they handle the ingredients thoughtfully. It makes a difference when you're mindful about what you're eating.

The service here is always so friendly. Sharon and Ronald are especially nice, they really make you feel at home. It's the kind of place where you can just relax and enjoy your meal without a worry.

The customer service was impressive, especially when they provided complimentary fruits while we waited for our pancakes.

Restaurant in Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach

Been coming here for years. The portions are huge, you can definitely split one. On a hot day by the pool, it's the perfect thing to cool down with. Always hits the spot.

The misoyaki Kama was so good, we ordered another one to share. The wood pot rice was a nice touch too. Sushi is fantastic, but definitely a splurge for a casual dinner with friends.
