Been coming here for years. The potato naan is the reason I keep coming back. It's always soft, the filling is just right, not too heavy. That consistency is what matters to me.

It's loud, but in a good way. Feels like a big family dinner, everyone's talking and laughing. The noise actually makes it feel more authentic, not less.

The staff here are really nice and attentive. They made us feel welcome, and handled a request politely. A pretty good experience overall.

Love the old-school vibes here, feels like stepping back in time. The tables are a bit too close together though, had to squeeze past other diners a couple times. Still, the atmosphere is cozy and unique.

The place is spotless and has this really cool, chill vibe. I liked how the AC was just right, not too cold. It's a nice spot to just hang out and eat.

Been here a few times. The staff are nice, Cheah Cheah and Max remembered my usual order. Food is solid, keeps me coming back.

Shanto was on point with the service. Always there when we needed something, but never hovering.

The Thursday night live band really sets the mood. The house wine was decent, and the little nibbles they serve with it are a nice touch. Makes for a relaxed evening out with a drink.

Cozy place with nice Peranakan antiques. Feels like eating at a friend's well-kept home. Good for a quiet business lunch. Food was decent, service was prompt.

Got the brisket for a quick lunch. Solid Texas-style bark on the meat, which is hard to find around here. Came out fast, perfect for a quick bite. Portion was decent.

Izzuddin and Hong Lin knew the menu inside out. They explained the dishes clearly, no fuss. Just solid, helpful service that let the food speak for itself.

My regular Thai spot in Penang. Flavors are always on point, ingredients taste fresh. Had the green curry and pad thai again last week, solid as usual. Convenient location for a quick business lunch.

Been coming here for years, their mixed rice is still my top pick on the island. The chicken rendang is always tender, and the sambal has that perfect kick. Staff are super efficient even when the queue is out the door.

Been coming here with my family since I was a kid. The flavors are still so authentic and comforting.

The owner came by to ask how our meal was, which was a nice touch. It felt like they genuinely cared about our comfort. The service was attentive without being overbearing. Made for a relaxed evening.

Holland's service was so nice, really made my birthday dinner.

Been here a few times on work trips. Pastries are consistently fresh, good selection of classics and some interesting new ones. The space is bright and quiet, ideal for a quick coffee meeting. Convenient location near the business district.

Love the old-school vibe here. The balcony has this amazing sea view, perfect for a quiet morning coffee. Staff were really nice too. Just wish the chairs were a bit comfier for longer stays.

The crispy baguette was so good. The fillings were generous and the pickled carrots gave it a nice tangy crunch. A solid lunch spot.

Stopped by for a quick tea. The fried tofu was surprisingly good. Crispy outside, soft inside. Simple, but hit the spot. Went well with the drink.

Solid Japanese option in Penang. Staff were attentive, food arrived quickly. The set lunch was around RM35, decent portion. Good for a business lunch near the office.

Classic Cantonese place in Penang. The char hor fun with beef had that real smoky wok hei taste. Just what I was hoping for.

Clean and simple open-air spot, fans keep it comfortable. It’s pork-free which is nice. Gets pretty busy on weekends though, we came a bit earlier to skip the wait.

Good spot for a quick vegetarian lunch. The nasi kandar with ladyfingers and curry is the move here. Fried rice is okay too. Food comes out fast, which is what I need on a workday. Prices are fair for Penang.

The Assam curry fish was the highlight. The sauce had a real tang to it, and the spice level was spot-on for me. Fish was cooked nicely, not overdone. A solid choice if you're into that sour-spicy kick.

Love the vibe in this shophouse! Perfect for catching up with friends. Parking's a bit of a hassle though.

The shawarma wrap was simple but really satisfying. I liked that the chicken inside tasted fresh, and the veggies were crisp. Good portion for a healthy, filling lunch. The price felt fair for what you get.

The dumplings were really good, with that authentic taste. But what stood out was the staff chatting about the culture and history behind the dishes. Made the whole meal feel more interesting.
