I searched for hours to find a restaurant that could cater for vegans and various food intolerances, good for young children, opening early enough and with reviews of the food good enough for a special birthday celebration.  Bistre is EVERYTHING I wanted.  The kids loved it.  The service was superb with attention from the chef to make special dishes for several members of our party.  Antipasti was brilliant.  Main dishes were flawless with the salmon, risotto (off menu) and tagliata worthybod special mention.  Desserts were also excellent and the wine was great.  The price was amazingly good value for what we got and when we&#39;re back in this area,.we will visit again without hesitation.  Thank you Bistre.  It was an unforgettable evening because of your care and attention and wonderful food!

We have eaten here every year in the summer over the last 4 years . The steak is perfectly and theatrically cooked . The roast potatoes are delicious and the onion soaked in local Sagrantino   wine is a great side dish . The service is great despite the language barrier if you don&rsquo;t speak Italian . Highly recommend it

The pizza was so thin and crispy, just how I like it. A nice selection of beers too, and the prices were very fair. A solid spot for a casual bite.

So many options, it was hard to choose! The pasta I got was really tasty and the plate was huge. Felt like a good deal for what you get.

The zucchini burger was a solid vegetarian option. Juicy and flavorful, it&#39;s a good alternative if you&#39;re not in the mood for meat.

The all-you-can-eat sushi is a solid deal. I kept ordering the salmon nigiri&mdash;the fish was super fresh, and they didn&#39;t skimp. Tried a small carafe of warm sake with it, which was nice.

The staff really stood out. Our server knew the menu inside out, suggested a great wine pairing for the pasta, and was super chill when we asked to switch tables. Made the whole dinner relaxed.

The owner was so friendly. He took a moment to tell us about the building&#39;s history and his family&#39;s story. It was a nice personal touch you don&#39;t get everywhere. Made the evening feel a bit more unique.

Only place in the area where it is possible to get the most common and anonymous food that you can find everywhere in Italy at an outrageously high prices justified by the name dropping of a famous chef seen in tv shows. With same money spent you get to eat real good in almost every other restaurant around. Not humble, not tasty, not value for what you spend. Far gone from the traditional cuisine. They certainly will not see me again. In addition, the waiting time was around 1h for one single dish - considering the place was not full. I dont think they have recurrent customers as those who have been, will never come back. The restaurant is looking for a short term gain per customer. Do Not go.

Great food, especially meat and dessert! Atmospheare is pleasant and homely atmospheare.

Really liked the vibe here! The grotto is so pretty and well-lit, perfect for catching up with friends. Plates are around &euro;10 and the portions are generous. We shared a few and it was plenty.

Handmade gnocchi was the star. You can tell they make a lot of stuff in-house, which is nice. It had a good texture, not too heavy. A solid choice.

Very good food. We took menu degustazione and of course we didn&rsquo;t choose the dishes, the chef did. That was assumed.But&hellip; it was not ok he decided to give us both exactly the same dishes, even if I said I am carnivore and my wife not so much. The chef have chosen the easy way.People are different and this is a good thing.

An excellent evening with delicious food in a lovely setting. Staff were very professional although occasionally forgetful. It would have been useful to have had someone who spoke Italian in our party to help translate the menu and generally iron out misunderstanding but it is always a delight to eat somewhere authentic  where Italians choose to go to.

The atmosphere here is vibrant and welcoming, especially during live music nights. It&#39;s a great place to enjoy delicious food and even dance a little after dinner.
