Took a chance on the drive, about an hour out. The service was spot-on, really attentive without being overbearing. Had the grilled octopus, it was cooked perfectly, tender with a nice char. Made the trip feel worthwhile.

The champagne afternoon tea was lovely. I really appreciated the fresh ingredients - the scones were warm, and the fruit on the pastries tasted so vibrant. Having the place mostly to ourselves made for a very peaceful afternoon.

Been coming here for years. The food&#39;s always solid, homely stuff. Portions are big, you won&#39;t leave hungry. Place is a bit tight at the moment with the work going on, but they still manage to serve you right.

Sticky chicken was amazing, spicy , tangy, sweet, sour all at once without being offensive, awesome.  Sitting by the log fire was comforting on a rainy day..
