While the food and ambiance were excellent, there was much confusion upon arriving (when we actually found the place). We had a reservation and a confirmation for the Hamptons Bar but staff had no idea what The Fork was and stressed they were just a bar and didn’t serve food and we must be in the wrong place. Turns out it was the courtyard restaurant at the Taj Hotel, which wasn’t what the reservation said. Someone needs to get their information straight. Were we the first people to ever make a Fork reservation here?? All in all, our meal was very good and we would come again.

First time trying the Old Hill steak burger and it was a proper treat. The patty was juicy and cooked just right, with a nice char on the edges. The fish and chips were fresh too, but that burger is the one I'll remember.

Been coming here for years, and the Scotch egg is the reason. It’s always just right—the yolk still runny, the sausage perfectly seasoned. That consistency is what keeps me coming back.

Been coming here for years. The upstairs area is a lifesaver when the main bar is packed. It’s quieter, feels more private. Always ask for a table up there if I can.

Decent pub grub but a step up. Their burger was solid, juicy patty and good bun. Fish and chips were crispy. Craft beer selection on point.

Lovely place seating near quiet inner courtyard. Music low enough not to interfere with conversation. Staff very attentive and good food.

The location is special, right under the arches, and the atmosphere is vibrant with live jazz music. A perfect spot for a night out.

The staff were really considerate about dietary needs. Our waitress Zina took great care with my wife's allergy, which was very reassuring.

The staff, particularly Millie and Nina, offer truly exceptional and personalised service, making each visit a memorable one.

The steak and ale pie here is the real deal. Properly hot, rich gravy, and a lovely flaky crust. Just what you need after a chilly evening at the Bridge. The mash was a bit too buttery for me, but the pie itself was spot on.

Popped in for Sunday lunch. Managed to get a table in the dining room where you can see the kitchen. It’s a busy spot, so booking ahead is key. The roast was solid, but the potatoes could’ve been crispier.

Always excellent. A little whiter after work than it is at lunchtime, but a great menu, lovely atmosphere, and brilliant service from friendly, helpful staff.

The sommelier was spot on with the wine suggestions for our budget. Staff took time to explain the different cuts, which was appreciated. Service felt professional without being stuffy. A solid choice if you care about the drinks list.

Been coming here for years. It's my local, just a short walk from the Oval. The Guinness is always spot on, poured right. Food's decent and reliable, nothing fancy. A solid place for a pint and a bite.

The sticky chicken here is a proper treat. It’s got this sweet, savoury glaze that’s just right, not too heavy. The Scotch egg was a nice surprise too, with a perfectly runny yolk.

Great spot for a casual drink. Ollie and the team are genuinely friendly, service is quick. Open mic nights add a good energy. Food is solid pub grub, nothing fancy but reliable. Convenient for after work.

Popped in for a couple of cocktails. The drinks were really lovely. Ramona was so friendly and attentive, she made the whole experience feel very relaxed and easy. A really nice spot for a quiet drink.

Quiz night was a blast. Fish and chips spot on, crispy batter, proper chips. Staff kept the pints coming. Solid vibe.

Staff were lovely, especially Alfie who was a real gent. Service was quick, especially using the app to order. They had a decent house red that went nicely with the steak, which was a nice touch.

Lovely rustic barn setting, feels both cosy and spacious. The decor is just right, and it's conveniently located in town. A very comfortable spot to enjoy a meal.

The Guinness Zero here is a game-changer! Tastes just like the real thing, which is so hard to find. Really impressed. The rest of the drinks menu looked solid too, loads of options. Will be back for that zero-alcohol pint 🍻

Love the roof garden in summer, and the fire inside when it's cold. The staff are really good at sorting things out if you need anything.

Zoltan and his team are always very welcoming with our kids, even when they're busy. It feels like our local spot.

Jack was so attentive. The scallop ravioli was lovely, you could really taste the freshness of the seafood in the filling. The espresso martini was a nice touch. A good spot for a thoughtful meal.

This place is huge, plenty of seats and usually quiet. Staff are friendly, prices are fair. The food is tasty, good value for what you get.

First Sunday lunch here. The roast was pretty good, the gravy especially. Service was fine. A decent spot for a birthday lunch, though it was a bit busy.

There were six of us family members .It was all perfect. The lady who served us was wonderful - jolly and attentive. The food, as usual, was brilliant, Thank you so much.

We come back every Saturday mostly for Jordan. He’s so welcoming, remembers the kids’ names, and just makes the whole visit feel easy. A real gem.

Nice spot after a stroll in the gardens. The pheasant stew was really good, rich and hearty. The dining room has these pretty floral patterns on the walls, which was a nice touch.

The Sunday roast was really nice, especially the Yorkshire pudding. It's a generous portion, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The seating is quite comfortable too, which made for a relaxed meal.
