Ambience was superb service exceptional a wonderful experience. My overseas guests were enchanted to experience a traditional hostelry. We will certainly visit again

Stopped by for a pizza and caught the live band Odall. My chef husband reckons their pizza beats his own, which says something. The band was really good, made the whole evening.

We popped in on New Year's Eve without a booking, and they still found us a spot. The staff were so kind and attentive, which made a potentially stressful evening feel really relaxed. The food was lovely, too.

The kitchen's consistency is impressive even when they're slammed. My burger arrived piping hot, the patty still juicy. That's what matters most to me.

The team here were really nice. They didn't mind us taking photos at all and were happy to help when we asked about the menu. Made the whole thing feel relaxed.

Been coming here for years, and the log fire in the bar is still the best part. It's just so cozy on a cold evening. The vegan chili is a solid choice, I get it often. Could do with a few more veggie dishes on the menu, though.

The owner is always around checking on things, which is nice. Food was good, service was solid. For the price, I'd say it's decent value. Nothing mind-blowing, but you get a proper meal without breaking the bank.

Stumbled upon this place for lunch. The curry was just right, rich and flavourful. The bread was fresh and warm, perfect for scooping. A really lovely meal.

Popped in for a quick bite. The playlist was spot on, really chill. Had the chicken sandwich, came out fast and was properly warm. Just a simple, decent lunch.

Bottomless brunch is a solid deal for £36. Two hours, drinks kept coming. Food was tasty, no complaints. Marcus was on it, really attentive host. Got me in and out quick for a Saturday. Good spot for a quick bite.

Been coming here for years. The team always remembers my usual order, and the head chef still pops by to say hello. It's that consistency that keeps me coming back.

Been coming here for years. The coffee's always spot on, and the team remembers my order. Just a solid, reliable spot for a good meal.

Nice spot for a quiet business chat. Drinks menu is solid - had a decent gin selection. Service was efficient, didn't feel rushed. A bit on the pricier side for the area, but the convenience works.

The hand-cut chips were lovely and crisp. The kids' menu is very reasonably priced, which is always a plus. I found the booths quite comfortable for a relaxed meal.

Booked the pub for a birthday do. Staff were really helpful with our requests for the music and decorations, which made things easy.

We arrived a few minutes early but it wasn’t a problem, our table was ready for us. We got our drinks promptly and ordered from the two course lunch menu. The food was excellent freshly cooked and we didn’t have to wait long. Pudding was syrup sponge and I had it with ice cream, usually this is served on the plate and melts next to the hot sponge. The Harvester serves it in a metal bucket, so it stays cold. Our server was friendly and made suggestions on our food choices, we will definitely return.

The steak and ale pie was really good. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made for a nice, relaxed meal.

The team here is just lovely. Lottie and Vicky remembered my name from a previous visit, which was a really nice touch. Casey was super helpful with the menu, no pressure at all. They all have a way of making you feel looked after without it being fussy.

The tandoori chicken was so fragrant, it filled the whole light dining area. That smell alone made the visit. The pie was lovely too, just a proper comforting bite.

The Sunday roast was lovely, really fresh ingredients. The conservatory is such a nice spot to sit, very light and airy with a great view. Service was friendly and made the whole thing feel very relaxed.

Lovely spot by the river for a family lunch. The food was solid, good local produce and fair prices. A nice step up from the usual pub grub. Their wine list had a few interesting local bottles that paired well with the fish.

Quick lunch spot. Got the chicken wrap, came out fast. Good portion for the price. Nice to sit outside for a bit. Simple and does the job.

The pork belly was really good, and they have a solid beer selection. The place has a nice, relaxed vibe with comfy seating. Good spot for a casual meal.

The midweek lunch buffet is a solid choice. For the price, you get a decent variety of hot and cold dishes. Portions are self-serve, so you can definitely get your money's worth if you're hungry. Quality is okay for a buffet, nothing fancy but it hits the spot.

Portions are generous here, which is nice. Had the full English breakfast and the VA salad. The salad was fresh, but I do wish they had a more interesting wine selection to pair with it. A simple house red would have been fine.

The scones were spot on, and the house sparkling wine was a nice touch with them. A solid choice for a relaxed afternoon.

Stumbled upon this place by chance. The vibe is really nice, quiet and cosy. Had the pasta, it was simple but done well. Service was friendly, not rushed. Just what I needed after a long walk.

The chateaubriand is their signature. Ordered it for a business dinner. Cooked exactly as requested, good seasoning. Served two of us comfortably. Price point is fair for the cut.

The open kitchen is a nice feature. You can see the pizzas being made fresh, which adds to the authentic Italian vibe. Good for a quick, casual meal.

Decent portions for the price. I found the food to be quite filling, which is always a plus. The value felt about right for what you get.
